IT Show 2008 will be happening on this Thursday, 6th March 2008 to Sunday, 9th March 2008 at Suntec City Exhibition Centre, Level 1, 3, 4 (Hall 401 to 404) and 6 (Hall 601 to 603). Opening hours are from 12pm to 9pm.

I am going to get the following items:

  • Canon Digitial IXUS 860 IS (for my uncle)
  • Western Digital 160GB (for my mom)
  • Retractable Mini/Micro USB Cable
  • Retractable RJ45 Cable
  • Retractable iPod Touch Cable (Maybe)

I am going to look out for the following items:

  • Dell 24″ Inch Monitor (2408WFP)
  • 4 (Print, Scan, Fax and Copy) in 1 Printer (for my mom)
  • 17″/19″ Monitors (for LiXiang)

I will be going with my cousin Peggy and Wayne as they are going to get laptops, perhaps they can buy together and ask for more discounts or free gifts.

PARENTS PLEASE DO NOT PUSH YOUR PRAMS THERE. SPARE A THOUGHT FOR OTHERS.

lol getting so many stuffs ah… but seems like nothing for ya new comp? For multi function printer, canon ones are really good, their original inks are not only the cheapest in the mrkt but personally seen their prints better than HP or epson.

On a sidenote… Yorkfield is taking forever to arrive!

Yea, my mom previous 4 in 1 was canon quite a few years back and she was thinking of getting the same but updated model. Canon is good as the ink is cheap.

I intending to get the Q9650 which will be in Q3 2008 so i think I will wait for Comex before I get my dell monitor =D

I got a new table for my computer =D

Q9650 is 3.0Hz one is it? or the 2.8Ghz one? I never really get on the model numbers from, why dont they call it based on clock speed like last time haha!

I am choosing between the 2.66Ghz and 2.8Ghz one. Temptingly, the QX 3.0Ghz one is simply way overpriced, though its available now. The other thing is the board is to go with it, I think I might go for the board generation below the X48 as mobos spoil so fast, no point to get such a good one for the 1600Mhz FSB.

Disappointingly from AMD, their quads are like rubbish like no competition for intel.

yea Q9650 is 3GHz, Q9550 is 2.8GHz. I prefer them to based on Speed. AMD is downhill since Intel launches Core technology.

I think get the Q9550 but if you can wait, get Q9650 as it is only 3 months later. I don’t think QX is worth the money as it is just unlocked multiplier, OC will shorten the lifespan of your processor too same as oning for 24/7
