I am using the iPhone 3G and has no problems with connection. Personally I prefer the iPhone 3G when comes to surfing the Internet and gaming but I prefer the 5800 when it comes to the phone features

I would say if you going to subscribe to data plan as well go for iPhone, if you want a normal phone, get 5800
