It may be the most widely used language in the world but the majority of the world's population doesn't understand more than a few words or sentences of English, if at all. I'll admit that 'leet speak', IM shortcuts and extremely bad grammar/spelling are also a pet peeve of mine but I still tolerate them because a lot of people can't communicate in English very well. Cut these people some slack! Please have some self respect and brush up a little on your language. Very few people are going to dignify you with a reply if you can’t at least take something as rudimentary as a widely used language seriously.
