Just only last month HP announced the availability of TouchPad in Singapore (16GB: S$699) and today, they announced they are killing WebOS. Like WTF?

I wonder will they sell those existing TouchPads at a discount since it has EOLed, I don’t mind getting a 16GB one for less than S$200.

In addition, HP reported that it plans to announce that it will discontinue operations for webOS devices, specifically the TouchPad and webOS phones. HP will continue to explore options to optimize the value of webOS software going forward.

They might even sell off their PC division (Personal Systems Group):

As part of the transformation, HP announced that its board of directors has authorized the exploration of strategic alternatives for the company’s Personal Systems Group. HP will consider a broad range of options that may include, among others, a full or partial separation of PSG from HP through a spin-off or other transaction.
