SingTel Experience Centre is a technology showcase using “Minority Report” style-like body gestures to manipulate and interact with multimedia images (3 cities for now: Paris, Shanghai & Rio de Janeiro) on a giant 14m, 180° circular screen.

The center is open for the public and is located inside SingTel Shop at ComCentre (31 Exeter Road Singapore 239732), the opening hours are from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm and on Sunday or Public Holiday, it is open from 11 am to 8 pm.

It uses 10 Kinect sensors with each Kinect sensor attached to its own computer. These 10 Kinect sensors then send sensor information to a gesture server for processing. After processing, this information is sent to the imaging server which is connected to 6 giant overhead projectors, and that gives the user a uniform experience.

As far as I can tell, they are using Microsoft Photosynth and Microsoft Silverlight Deep Zoom technology to power it.

Each city is stitched together from 1000+ photos forming a 20 Gigapixel photo.
