The Social Network (IMDB) (Wiki) is essentially a movie about how Facebook got started by Mark Zuckerberg in his Harvard Dormitory room.
I doubt some parts of the story is true like Mark owned 51% of Facebook but actually he owns 24% of it. But perhaps things change over the years.
Some parts are true like how Sean Parker the co-founder of Napster is involved in Facebook, Harvard Connection, etc.
I wonder does Mark Zuckerberg Facebook namecard really says “I am a CEO, bitch”.
Bill Gates does a cameo in the movie talking about BASIC but it was not actually him but the no. 1 Bill Gates impersonator in the world. However the voice is real.
The computer OS used in the movie is Linux and not Windows or Mac. Some technical jargons were used in the movie like Apache Config, PHP, Perl, WGET, EMAC, etc.

Overall it is a pretty good movie, I strongly recommend you to catch it.
PS: Mark Zuckerberg is born in the same year as me (1984) and so is Matt Mullenweg, founder of WordPress. Mark is worth USD$6.9 billion which makes him the world’s youngest billionaire!
HP hosted the Gala Premiere for Sex & The City 2 in Golden Village Vivo City yesterday night. We are very honored to be invited. I am super duper excited because I’m a big fan ever since the drama serial time. The stories just touches me as though “I am Carrie!”. I’m glad the 2nd movie didn’t make us wait that long!
The premiere is very organized, there are several activities going on after you collected your tickets. We have pictures taking with the Sex & The City’s backdrop, launch of SJP NYP perfumes, early bird special, HP Mini on display and even manicure for some privilege guests. Lester and me both draw all 3 different gifts from the lucky draw: bag charm, button mirror and note pad.
Here comes the movie! Sex & The City 1 refreshes audience’s memories about: fashion, new york, love and singles while movie 2 works around with a more complete story plot, like an episode. This time the story revolves around the girls’ life after marriage, especially Carrie’s. This is a lot more funnier. Story comes first then the fashion, which is ain’t bad, because I can finally take a good look at these girls!
You still can expect all the labels being shown in the movie, YSL earrings, Hermes Birkin Bag (Samantha like to call it Birkin instead of “handbag” or “bag”), Dior clothes, LV clothes, Channel scarf and more! I spotted the HP Mini 210 – Vivienne Tam Edition towards the end of the movie, it is like finding Wally in Where’s Wally? It is camouflage with the piles of clothes and bags.
A definite movie hit in town. Catch Sex & The City 2 in theaters, opening 27 May 2010.

Thanks to Hwee Tong and Sharon for the gala invite for the movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time at Cineleisure! The movie opens this Thursday, 27th May 2010 islandwide!
The movie lasts about 2 hours and it is pretty action packed movie from the start to the end. The sand animation is good, something we have not seen before. Just as when you thought water animation is difficult, I think sand animation is equally difficult. There are some scenes that will make you go WTF are they doing kissing in the middle of a life and death crisis. As the movie is set in the desert, the whole movie practically takes place in the day.
Saw the trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife. Can’t wait for it!

The plot follows Dastan (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), a street urchin in the Persian Empire in the sixth century. After showing courage in the market place, he is adopted by the king as his heir, so the king’s two sons will not fight over the throne. Later on, he teams up with Princess Tamina (played by Gemma Arterton) to stop a common enemy – the villainous nobleman Nizam (Ben Kingsley) and to take from him an ancient dagger known as “The Dagger of Time” (a valuable dagger which gives to its owner the ability to go back in time for short periods and change the past) and keep him from generating a sandstorm which could destroy the world.

Fourth Jason Bourne Film
The Jason Bourne trilogy is one of the best trilogy of all times, it is definitely on par with LOTR. I can’t wait for this 4th installment.
Marshall told IESB on the red carpet of the Saturn Awards that Bourne 4, as it’s being called, will “absolutely” happen. Since the fourth book, titled The Bourne Legacy, was written by Eric Van Lustbader instead of Ludlum because he was no longer alive at the time, they’re going to go down their own path. “We’re probably going to take our own direction and we’re working on what that storyline’s gonna be right now.” As for where Bourne might be going to this time, since he already made it all the way back to New York City – South America. Marshall says that they’ll probably take him “down south” to South America in the fourth installment, but story details aren’t fully finished yet.
The Host 2
The Host 1 was quite a crappy show, I don’t think the 2nd one will be good.
Although it’s been mentioned before, Variety now confirms that a sequel to 2006′s Korean monster flick The Host is in the works. Although it’s being produced partially by the same Korean company, Chungeorahm, the film is a “Chinese sequel” that will explore what happens when people ignore a monster due to their desire for money. The production budget is around $12 million and shooting will start sometime early next year for release by the end of 2009.
Kung Fu Panda 2
Some people do want the sequel of Kung Fu Panda. But for animations, normally the sequels is worst than the 1st installment. Keeping my finger crossed.
This is completely unconfirmed, but the blog of The Animators Guild recently wrote a post that mentions that DreamWorks is already working on a story for a sequel to Kung Fu Panda. Considering the film has already earned $162 million at the box office, it’s very likely that this is accurate. The film definitely leaves open the possibility for sequels at the end and I think I’m not alone when I say I’d love to see Po the Panda return in yet another adventure.
300
300 was not bad, I wonder what will be the sequel called, 301?
We first mentioned that this was “in the works” after 300 hit theaters in early 2007, now it seems to be actually coming together. Producer Gianni Nunnari tells Collider that they’re currently working on a sequel to 300. He says that they’re working with Frank Miller and Zack Snyder to create something authentic which would involve a new story of some kind. If you don’t believe it, Collider says they spoke with Zack Snyder separately and confirmed that it is indeed true and is indeed in the works.
Hellboy III
Hellboy I was not bad, Hellboy II has not shown in Singapore yet. Also keeping my finger cross.
All eyes are currently set on Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy II: The Golden Army, due out in theaters on July 11th, and his work on The Hobbit soon thereafter. However, Guillermo told Collider that he would love to make Hellboy III after he finishes work on The Hobbit, so if all goes as planned, we might see Hellboy III in 2012 or 2013. Don’t hold your breath though – that’s so far out and the success of Hellboy II hasn’t been guaranteed yet, so the possibility of this actually happening anytime soon is very slim.
Cloverfield 2
Say NO to Cloverfield 2.
Cloverfield 2 – Unfortunately this is the bad news of the bunch today. Cloverfield’s director Matt Reeves also spoke to Collider and told them that unfortunately Cloverfield 2 is on hold. He confirms that they promised only to make a sequel if they could find a story that was as fresh and unique as the first Cloverfield and right now they haven’t come up with that. He does say that they do have a couple of exciting ideas, but it’s in the very early stages and it’s not clear if they’ll develop into anything.
The only sequel I am looking forward to is Bourne 4.
