I finally took some time to update my site’s feed to use FeedBurner feed.

So now I can see how many people are subscribe to my blog’s feed. =D

Technorati Ranking
As my site is still on WP 1.5.2, I can’t use any WordPress plugin to display my Technorati Rank as all of them requires WP 2.0 and above.

I took some code from Douglas Karr’s Technorati Rank WordPress Plugin and an image from Eric’s site and with the help of GD2 library, I generated my Technorati Ranking Image which has the same style as the FeedBurner feed count.

Both the FeedBurner and Technorati Ranking information can be found on the right menu, under Tracking.

PS: My http://lesterchan.net/ site is ranked 1,923 in Technorati! I have finally made it to Technorati Top 2K sites!

I have changed the width of this site from 600px to 800px.

Back in 2003 when I designed this layout, 800×600 is still quite the normal resolution for most computers so in order to make this site layout compatible with 800px in width, I chose 600px as the width.

Come 4 years later, where LCD became cheaper and cheaper and the native resolution for a 15″ LCD is 1024×768, I have decided to change the width to 800px, so that i can incorporate some pictures into the post as I think a post with all text will makes it looks pretty dull and furthermore it is a multimedia era.

But I will be changing to a new layout soon, once i can get the design senses in me to design the header and some free time to port over the content.

I will be starting off by posting some Microsoft Remix 2007 event photos in the next blog post.

Just to follow the trend, I have installed Mediawiki into http://wiki.lesterchan.net/. For those who do not know what Mediawiki is, it is the exact same software that powers Wikipedia.

I intend to post some of my stuff there which requires modification often. The only valuable page that so far is my to-do list of my Wordpress Plugins.

This site will be turning 5 on 24th March 2007, which falls on my birthday too. For the past 4 years+, I have been running this site using my allowance and sometimes my mom will pay for the hosting. Many readers asked me why not put ads on my site as I have pretty good site traffic.

I will never put ads on any of my personal site, now or in the future. This is like my hobby and I do not want to earn anything from my hobby. And the main reason for it is, I simply hate site with ads.

Also, I will always provide updates, and most importantly support, for my WordPress Plugins and PHP Scripts for free, rest assured that. I will also create more WordPress Plugins if time allows, I hope I can stop when the number of plugins I created reached 20 (current count is 13).

Just some message I want to let everyone knows =)

If you are able to see this announcement, it means that the site has successfully move to the new host (Dreamhost to be exact). I signed a 2 year contract with them for (USD$100.80), hopefully they do not let me down.

This site is definitely slower for me in terms of load time as the host no longer reside in Singapore (where I live), but it maybe faster for some of you guys also.

I am trying to get the site to be XHTML Transitional validated by W3. So far so good, the blog main page and the comments page passed the validation. More to come soon.

Frozened.com has now a server in Pacific Internet data center and I have just moved my site to that server. Thanks so much to Zeus for helping me migrate this site to the new server.

There is some error when converting from CPanel to Direct Admin, thus only 1 database is created, and luckily it is the blogs database. Thus I managed the main site up and running first.

The forums, expenses and wordpress development databases are still down, I am still trying to access to Direct Admin to create the database before I can restore it. Bloody Starnet, I just hate Starnet. #$#@^%#$^%$&%^&$Y^

I have release GaMerZ File Explorer 1.10. If case you do not know what it is, it is a PHP script which will enables you to browse a directory similar to how Windows Explorer browse directories in Windows.
