Today is Li Xiang 25th birthday! This year is a little bit more relax for us as we manage to have the whole day to ourselves.
We had dinner at TWG Tea at Ion Orchard as Li Xiang always wanted to try the dessert and tea there.
The main courses there are a little on the pricey side. It ranges from SGD$27 to SGD$32 and there are like like 5 choices of main course available. Not forgetting the portion is kinda little. I would not recommend having any full meal there.

Shrip Beignets (SGD$27)

Pike Perch Fillet (SGD$28)
On the other hand, the tea and dessert there are pretty good. There are like hundreds of tea selection available which I really do not know how to start choosing. The price starts at SGD$10 per pot, a pot is enough for 2 persons. We ordered the Happy Birthday tea which fits today’s occasion. The Happy Birthday tea is a little fruity!

Happy Birthday Tea (SGD$10.50)
There are some cakes available but we did not order them. Instead we ordered a Carrousel which is basically a very large Macarons filled with Strawberries and their homemade cream. We also did ordered two ala carte Macarons at SGD$2 each. The Macarons at TWG is nice, it is not too sweet.

Carrousel (SGD$10)

Macaron (SGD$2 each)
Total bill amounted to SGD$93.55 after 7% GST and 10% service charge!
We donated SGD$10 to the We Are One charity project at Ion and we are entitled to placed 5 Lego bricks!

Donated To We Are One
Did not watch any movie today because Li Xiang will be having her end-semester FYP presentation tomorrow. Instead we will be watching 2012 this Saturday at midnight at GV Max!
Happy 25th Birthday Penguin! All the best for your studies! Going to graduate soon! Jia You!!!

I received the Birthday Party Bash Wii game by 2K Play 3 weeks ago. Played the game during our “Games Day” which is on the 1st August 2009 to celebrate the end of our internship!
Birthday Party Bash as the name suggest is extremely suitable to be played during birthday parties as the focus of the whole game will be on the birthday boy or girl. When you start the game, you will get to choose 3 options, “Custom Party”, “Quick Party” or “Free Play”.
Since I am hosting the games day at my house and reviewing the game, I was arrowed to be the birthday boy. We choose Custom Party play mode because we want to be able to customize our birthday party. We can choose from 10 different types of Birthday Party themes.

Christmas came early for me on Friday! I received 3 parcels altogether! One is for the Nokia Technophobe Challenge #2, the second one was Wii Birthday Party Bash game from 2K Play and the third and last parcel was two netbook cases from Gear Zap / Mobile Fun.
This post is about the Wii Birthday Party Bash. I am going to review this game when my friends come over my house on the 1st August 2009 for a Wii party, we called it the Games Day! The packaging is excellent, this is no doubt the best packaging I have seen for a Wii game.
Here is a snippet from the press release
Birthday Party Bash provides a unique and entertaining way to host a child’s birthday celebration, offering state-of-the-art party games that can be enjoyed by up to 12 children at a time on the Wii. By modernising classics like Pin The Tail On The Donkey, Sack Race, Musical Chairs and 19 other traditional birthday games, it’s the perfect way to host a memorable and fun birthday party – without breaking the bank. The birthday boy or girl can also choose from ten party theme rooms for an unforgettable experience, from “Pirates,” complete with sword and treasure chest, to “Princess,” with a royal castle and magical unicorn.

Turned 25 today, and I am 1/4 of a centurion (a one hundred year old person)! This website was also borned on the 24th March 2002!
Had a simple birthday lunch at Shokudo : Japanese Pasta and Pizza at Cineleisure before catching Dragonball: Evolution. The tickets cost only SGD$6.00 per ticket and including a small popcorn combo set when you pay using UOB! Good deal, seldom watch movies on weekdays, pardon my slowness. Dragonball: Evolution is kinda disppointing and again, Hollywood destroy my favorite childhood anime. And who is Yum Cha? I don’t remember him in the anime.

PS: Paging for Annette! I want Nokia N97 as my birthday present =p
Yaki Yaki Bo
Yesterday was Li Xiang 24th birthday. Had a mini celebration with her by eating at Yaki Yaki Bo at Jurong Point at the newly opened Japanese food area called Shokutsu 10 – Osaka. It is a Teppanyaki Restaurant, similar concept to Sakae Teppanyaki. The interesting thing is that instead of placing your food on plates or aluminum foil, the place it on top of a bread perhaps to absorb the oil. Prices range between SGD$12.90 to SGD$29.90 for the executive set meals.
Personally I think that the chef at Yaki Yaki Bo do not have much skills as compared to the chef at Sakae Teppanyaki. There is almost no performance and the way the cook is very “neat” whereas the chef at Sakae Teppanyaki do perform some tricks and he cook the food almost all over the place.
You can view the photos that I uploaded to Facenook here, Lay Hiang 24th Birthday.
Quantum Of Solace
After dinner, we went to watch Quantum Of Solace at GV Jurong Point. The show is at 9.25pm. The movie as average, lots of action but the storyline is a little confusing at least more confusing than Casio Royale. Many people say you need to re-watch Casio Royale before you can watch Quantum Of Solace which I think that is true to a certain extend. Basically I have no idea what is going on, I just watch it for the action.
Presents
Bought 3 presents for Li Xiang, the first present is Kipling new Autumn/Winter 2008 Collection wallet, called “If | New Money Cuby Brown”, the second present is a book called Package Design Now and the last present is also a book called Little People in the City: The Street Art of Slinkachu. Li Xiang is a bookworm!
Happy 24th Birthday Penguin!
Looking Back
Last Friday, 11th July 2008, marks my mum 50th birthday. We went to celebrate at Pete’s Place in Hyatt Hotel. Food there was rather disappointing as compared to their Sunday lunch buffet. The price range from SGD$20 to SGD$40 for a main course. Each main course is entitled for the bread bar.
Skype with my dad when we came home and we cut the cake “in front” of him. Technology really brings people closer regardless of the location he is in.
We bought my mum Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000, i.Tech CLIP V and Altec Lansing BXR1120. I also ordered flowers on behalf of my dad to my mom from FarEastFlora.com. She likes lilies, so I ordered a bouquet of 6 stocks of lilies (PN27 – Pure Bliss).
Last Monday, I also surprised Li Xiang with a bouquet of 18 stalks of roses (PN17 – In Love with You) from FarEastFlora.com, delivered to her office. Been a long time since I sent her flowers, so I think this surprise comes in quite well.
FarEastFlora’s flowers maybe a little more expensive then others, but it is worth every cent of it. The quality of the flowers is excellent and you can even track your orders online. It has been more than a week since I gave Li Xiang the bouquet of flowers and the flowers is in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend FarEastFlora if you are ordering flowers online. They even except PayPal payments too.
I will be going to KL for a short trip with Li Xiang, my mom and my uncle on Friday and will be back on Sunday. My uncle will be driving there.
