I celebrated my 40th birthday yesterday with my family as I reached the mid-point of my life. The average life expectancy for males in Singapore is 80.7 in 2022. So, in gaming terms, if you started the game with 100% health, you are now down to 50% health remaining.
This phase of my life is to enjoy life as much as possible. Travel when I can walk, eat while I have teeth, and buy things I like while still working.
The last birthday before my age starts with the number 4. Looking back, I have blogged for more than 22 years. The first post on this site dates back to 24th March 2002, which is my 18th birthday.
Bedrock Bar & Grill
On my actual birthday (yesterday), I went with Li Xiang to Bedrock Bar & Grill at Somerset.
It has been almost a month since I blogged about anything and fast-forwarded to yesterday. It is my 38th birthday!
Cure
My first celebration is with Li Xiang at Cure Restaurant. Cure is a One Michelin Star restaurant that serves Nua Irish cuisine by Andrew Walsh. Nua means new in Irish.

Edge at Pan Pacific Singapore
Had a last-minute buffet dinner at Edge at Pan Pacific Singapore with Li Xiang on Saturday, 14th March 2020.
The spread there is fantastic, and the food is good. Furthermore, there are having a 30% discount for Pan Pacific Privileges members till 31st March 2020. Membership is free and you can sign up at panpacificprivileges.com.sg.
Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel
Celebrated my 35th birthday with a one night staycation at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel. Thanks to my mom for the gift.
Because it is my birthday staycation, they upgraded me to the Premium Deluxe Room, which I guess is just a facing Orchard Road view. They also allow me a late checkout at 2 pm.
My brother and I celebrated our 29th and 34th birthday in Bali, Indonesia. We were there with our family, all the six of us.
It was my first time to Bali, and I was there from 22nd March 2018 until 25th March 2018.
Turned 33 yesterday and my brother will be turning 28 in three days time.

I took leave yesterday for my birthday and basically it is an errand day.
Started the day by going to Singtel Shop at Comcenter to change Li Xiang’s plan to SIM Only.
Yesterday was my first birthday after 30 years old and that makes me 31 years old!
Last year, Li Xiang and I went to Sydney, Australia to celebrate my birthday. This year we stayed in Singapore to save some money as we are going travelling later on in June.
