The Innergie Magic Cable Trio – Charge & Sync 3-in-1 USB Cable and Innergie Magic Cable Duo – Charge & Sync 2-in-1 USB Cable are the most expensive USB cables from Innergie. Each retailing for SGD$29 at Challenger but there is a 10% discount for members, so it adds up to SGD$26.10 each.

I got the Innergie Magic Cable Trio instead since it has 3 tips (Mini USB, Micro USB & Apple 30-pin connector) whereas the Innergie Magic Cable Duo has only 2 tips (Micro USB & Apple 30-pin connector).

You must be wondering since they are priced the same, one has 3 tips and the other has 2 tips, why don’t we just get the 3 tips one instead. This is where the length of the cable comes in. The length of the Innergie Magic Cable Trio is freaking short (20cm) where as Innergie Magic Cable Duo is 4 times longer (79cm)!

The build of the Innergie Magic Cable Duo/Trio is even better than the build of the Innergie Magic Cable – Multi-Tip USB Cable and I would say the build is similar to the official Apple Dock Connector to USB Cable.

The Apple 30-pin connector fits perfectly to my iPhone 4S, something which Deal Extreme‘s version of any Apple 30-pin connector cable can never do!

I would say this cable is very well worth SGD$26.10 considering the official Apple Dock Connector to USB Cable already cost SGD$28.

Bought the Innergie Magic Cable – Multi-Tip USB Cable from Plaza Singapura’s Challenger for SGD$13 (after 10% member’s discount is SGD$11.70). I always wanted to try out Innergie’s product, because it is always very well designed though it is on the pricey side.

In case you are wondering, Innergie is popular for universal adapters for laptops.

This particular model of the Magic Cable comes with 2 tips, 1 for Micro USB and the other for Mini USB. Also the cable is retractable.

Despite being expensive, the build quality is pretty good. It is not as flimsy as those retractable cables that I bought from Deal Extreme.

And yes, there is a clone of Innergie Magic Cable on Deal Extreme which is called “Multifunction 3-in-1 Retractable Charging Adapter – Black“, it is a 3-in-1 cable instead of 2-in-1 as it contains the extra Apple 30-pin connector. Just for comparison, I did placed an order for that on 4th February 2012 since it is only USD$5 with free shipping to any country in the world. I will post about it when I received it 1 month later (Deal Extreme takes freaking long to ship).

OneLessDrop is actually a cable holder/anchor that allows you to hold 2 cables at one time, one at the top groove and one at the bottom groove. You can use the top groove to hold your Apple MagSafe Cable and the bottom groove to hold your Apple Dock Connector to USB Cable.

I did a search on HardwareZone Forums and saw some posts saying they got it from iStudio. I went to a few iStudio shops around town and could not find it. If I happened to find it, I will update this post again with the location of the shop and the price.

The Cableyoyo is slightly similar to the Bluelounge POP except that it is meant to wind slightly thicker cables like the Apple Dock Connector to USB Cable and it does not have a suction cup but instead there is an adhesive sticker at the back for you to stick behind your computer monitor/casing.

Challenger also does sell the Bluelounge CableBox Mini and it is cheaper, for SGD$34.90 (after member’s discount is SGD$31.41) but they have only 3 colours available which is Pink, Blue and Yellow. I needed white to match my white Huawei Optical Network Terminal (ONT) and Huawei Residential Gateway (RG). Design Museum Shop does sells all colors of CableBox Mini.

The reason for getting the CableBox Mini instead of the normal CableBox is because the normal CableBox is too long to be placed on top my Dry Cabinet which is located in the living room. The price difference between the mini and normal CableBox is about SGD$15.

The service from that shop is getting from bad to worst. If not because the Bluelounge POP is not sold elsewhere in Singapore, I would not be bothered getting from that shop.

The Bluelounge POP is essentially a cable winder that makes use of suction cup to attached itself to the back of your gadget as long as the surface at the back is smooth. Once it is attached, you can wind the wires of your headphone around it.

The package also comes with clear adhesive and gloss plate for you to paste at the back of your gadget if it does not have a smooth back.

It also comes with 10 decorative decals for you to stick on your Bluelounge POP which the color black may look dull for some users.

In Singapore you can find both the black and white color at Challenger (Funan) or at EpiCentre@Ion Orchard retailing for SGD$49.90 (Member’s Price: SGD$44.91).

Do note that at most you can only fit in a 5-Socket (3-Pin) Power Strip into this CableBox. I got a 6-Socket Power Strip and it is too long for the box. Too bad the CableBox does not come in a larger size. However, they do come in a smaller size, take a look at Bluelounge CableBox Mini.

My Starhub MaxOnline Premium broadband plan has expired a few months back. Rather then waiting till December 2009 for promotion, I decided to renew and go for the Enjoy 30% OFF MaxOnline Ultimate promotion (till 31st December 2009). The usual price for MaxOnline Ultimate is SGD$124.12 per month but with this promotion, it is just SGD$86.88 per month. The contract length is standard 24 months. Thus I made a savings of SGD$2,978.88 – SGD$2,085.12 = SGD$893.76 which is the price of a cheap laptop or a high end netbook.

The freebies include the delicious Motorola SURFboard SB6120 and free 12 months subscription of Norton 360 All-In-One Security Package Version 3.

SINGAPORE, 4 August 2008 – Singaporeans will now be able to cruise the information superhighway with a new fixed broadband service operated by M1.

Offering a mobile broadband service since 2006, M1 will become a full fledged broadband player when it introduces M1 Fixed Broadband from tomorrow.

M1 Fixed Broadband is available to all homes with cable access points or which are cable ready. The service is capable of achieving download speeds of up to 100 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 2 Mbps.

“M1 is repositioning itself for the future as it develops new businesses anchored on our core competencies. The launch of M1 Fixed Broadband is an important step in our planned transformation from a single-play mobile operator to a dynamic multi-play operator with interests in both the mobile and fixed sectors. The proliferation of the Internet and the increasing demand for Internet bandwidth also make this an opportune entry into the fixed broadband market,” said Neil Montefiore, Chief Executive Officer of M1.

M1 will launch its fixed broadband service with four unlimited data plans based on varying Internet access speeds. Providing customers faster speeds for less, the monthly subscription fee starts from as low as $40.60 for existing M1 customers*. Customers will also be offered a plug-and-play cable modem as part of the launch promotion when they sign up for the service.

Promotional Price

10 Mbps $43.50/month

15 Mbps $58.50/month
