The iPhone 4S will be launching on 28th October 2011 at 12:00am (27th October 2011 midnight) at Suntec Convention Hall 402 (Hall F).

This time round, Apple Singapore has made the iPhone 4S available for pre-order 1 week before the official launch of the iPhone 4S with the telco.

Apple iPhone 4S Prices In Singapore

Apple iPhone 4S is now available for pre-order at Apple (Singapore) Online Store.

All iPhones sold in Singapore are UNLOCK sets.

Both the black and white iPhone 4S are available and the prices are as follows:

16GB – SGD$948
32GB – SGD$1,088
64GB – SGD$1,238

Right now the shipping is still 1-2 weeks time and one customer is allowed to buy 2 sets only.

This time round, the iPhone 4S is more expensive than the iPhone 4 when it was launched.

When iPhone 4 was available in Apple (Singapore) Online Store last year, the prices are as follows:

16GB – SGD$888 (SGD$60 cheaper)
32GB – SGD$1,048 (SGD$40 cheaper)

Received an email from Guyi Shen who is the director of Lobangclub which is an iPhone App (for now). I find the app pretty cool. It is similar to ShopSavvy and Singtel’s Price Pal.

What is Lobangclub?

Lobangclub is a free Singaporean app that finds you the best deals on any product. We do this by contributions from you, our community of shoppers. We already have over 500,000+ products in Singapore.

How to use?

Step 1: Scan a barcode on the product you want to buy.
Step 2: You will receive a list of all the shops in Singapore that sell that product and the prices.
Step 3: You can help us by either contributing a price or verifying that the price is correct.

It uses your Facebook credentials for login and the UI is pretty good.

I tried the barcode scanning on 2 items (Panadol ActiFast & Nescafe Blend 37), it works perfect and even give you a picture of the product after you scanned the barcode.

I am able to get the price for the Nescafe Blend 37 but no price is available for the Panadol ActiFast. If there are no prices available, you can tap on the “Got lobang?” button and it will bring you to a screen for you to add the price, location of the item and even indicate a sale period.

I wish they have a karma or reputation points system, to entice users to submit prices and the community can mark them accurate by a “like” or something.

All price stated for SingTel and SuperInternet includes 7% GST. I am unsure about the stated price for M1 and Starhub.
SingTel has 2 plans for 200Mbps Fibre, the one I stated is the cheaper one.
SingTel bundle lots of crap to their Fibre plans, you will need to check their site for more information.
M1 did not state their International Speed and Installation Fee.

SingTel has announced their price plans for OpenNet Fibre Internet connection. From tomorrow (1st September 2010), you can register your interest in the high-speed fibre services at www.singtel.com/exstream.

If you ask me, it is still pretty expensive. I hope they will have a exPress 200 plan because exPress 150 plan is not really a huge jump from Starhub 100Mbps cable.

SingTel has release their iPhone 4 prices for their iFlexi plans. The iPhone 4 will be launching on 30th July 2010 at 12:00am (29th July 2010 midnight) at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre (Hall F).

The prices are pretty much the same as iPhone 3GS when it was launch, you can check it out Singtel iPhone 3GS Price Plan or Singtel iPhone 3G Price Plans.

This time round, you are able to get the iPhone 4 without contact directly from Apple Singapore Online Store and surprisingly the price is pretty reasonable.

Windows 7 Pricing In Singapore

Windows 7 has officially been launch in Singapore at midnight on 22nd October 2009. The launch was collaborated between Microsoft Singapore and Challenger Funan. The first person in the queue started queuing at 3.30pm and only at 7pm they started giving out the queue number. At about 10.30pm, there was about 140+ people in the queue, but I think it eventually went up to 200 before midnight.

The first 177 customers gets to buy Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Edition at SGD$77 (RRP: SGD$219). After that, a limited number of customers can purchase it at SGD$147 during the launch event.

I have been using Windows 7 for quite sometime since it was available in my school’s MSDN AA on 14th August 2009. I am very satisfied with it, definitely an improvement over the failed Windows Vista or the long running Windows XP.

However, do not rush to buy it. Wait and see how much will the OEM version cost at Sim Lim Square first.
