Ratings And Poll Updates
The targeted launch for WP-Polls 2.1 and WP-PostRatings 1.02 is 1st June 2006, as you can see now both will feature the fade in and fade out effect and the loading icon.
WP-Polls 2.1 will also feature a new option where you can choose to log by cookie, ip, both or none at all. I have updated the poll to log by cookie and ip, so now you can only vote once.

(240 votes, average: 3.9 out of 5)

Hello!
This plugin is what I watnted. Great work!
But, although I have been using Wordpress2.02, I can use Post rating ver.101. It doesn’t work at wordpress2.02.
If I mistakes it, please pardon me.

Thank you, GaMerz!!
I can finaly work rating star!! I mistaked its usage. I have never closed with /. That’s the worst. Sorry.
I am pleased to use ver. 2.02. I enjoy seeing your plugins.

I mistaked it again. No need [/~]. It’s enoght only using [~].
Anyway, when I use [~], P tag wraps Div tag. I would like to avoid it because inline element wrap block element. Does anyone know the way to solve this problem?

Hi,
Is there anyway to get a list of top rated stories? (to put in a block)
Or a page full of them?
June 21st, 2006 at 07:28
< ? php get_highest_rated('both', 10); ? >
Will return the top 10 highest rated post in headline views
June 22nd, 2006 at 01:18
GaMerZ,
Is there a way to get the top highest rated posts in a given date range?
Example:
* Top three posts in the past 24 hours
* Top ten posts in the past week

Using returns a read only display of the rating. Can it be modified to include functional ratings (with the same default display options as in the full posts)?
Thanks again. Your work here is impressive.

Sorry, just brainstorming here.
Can one return the top ten posts in the last 3 days in a specific category? Believe it or not, I could actually use such functionality. But even without, this is a great plugin.

jeff: u can selected the top rated post within a period of time but that need extra coding.

looks like you are from Singapore too?
To solve it, refer it to the readme.html, Usage Tab. It is a bug in IE when transparency is used.

Hi,
I’m trying out your Wp-ratings plugin and it’s going great till I get this problem on the admin panel:
WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax near '(meta_value AS UNSIGNED)) FROM wp_postmeta WHERE meta_key = 'ratings_users'' at line 1]
SELECT SUM(CAST(meta_value AS UNSIGNED)) FROM wp_postmeta WHERE meta_key = ‘ratings_users’
WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax near '(meta_value AS UNSIGNED)) FROM wp_postmeta WHERE meta_key = 'ratings_score'' at line 1]
SELECT SUM(CAST(meta_value AS UNSIGNED)) FROM wp_postmeta WHERE meta_key = ‘ratings_score’
So far everything works and it even tells me the records of ratings… however from what I can tell the only thing that doesn’t work is the Post Ratings Logs Stats… Is there a fix for this? Thanks

u are using MYSQL 3.x or MYSQL 4.0.x Which is not recommanded by WP-PostRatings.
