AJK at the top of the plugins page you should see something like:

* All (69) | * Active (57) | * Recently Active (5) | * Inactive (12)

Easy enough to view only active and non active ones or whatever.

So not sure what you mean?

So far I have been extremely disappointed with WordPress 2.8. Comments disappearing from the website and unscanable plugin listing (activated and non-activated are now mixed with plugin info, which makes quick scanning impossible).
