HOLY, that is fast! Firefox 7.0 has been released! Looking back [Firefox 6.0](https://lesterchan.net/blog/2011/08/17/firefox-6-0-released/) was only released last month on the 17th August 2011!

**What’s New In Firefox 7.0?**

- Drastically improved memory use
- Added a new rendering backend to speed up Canvas operations on Windows systems
- Bookmark and password changes now sync almost instantly when using Firefox Sync
- Added support for text-overflow: ellipsis
- Added support for the Web Timing specification
- Added an opt-in system for users to send performance data back to Mozilla to improve future versions of Firefox. This can be enabled by installing an add-on
- Fixed several stability issues

Firefox will have one more release before 2011 ends, Firefox 8 is scheduled to be released on 8th November 2011.
