On the 1st November 2012, Sanyo announced the new and [improved eneloop Rechargeable Batteries](http://eneloop.com.sg/?p=battery-eneloop) (Model Number: HR-3UTGB). The old batteries have a model number of HR-3UTGA.

**What’s New**

- Life span increased by 20%, bringing the total life cycle of approximately 1,800 recharge cycles
- Longer storage time, retaining 70% capacity even after five years of storage
- Outer covering label with “Antibacterial finishing”, ideal for business places, schools, and hospitals where one battery is handled by multiple people
- Stable discharge voltage: Longer operation times for gadgets with high power consumption and in low temperature circumstances than other dry cells

The new & improved batteries will maintain the same price as the previous model, **S$25.90** for a pack of 4x AA or AAA size and **S$13.90** for a pack of 2x AA or AAA size.

It will be available at all major electronic stores starting from Thursday, 15th November 2012.
