[Chromebooks](http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/devices/) have arrived in Singapore and for some reasons, they are only on sale at [Courts](http://www.courts.com.sg/) and not elsewhere like Challenger, Harvey Norman or Best Denki. I guess Courts got the exclusivity rights for the time being.

3 models of Chromebook are available, [HP Pavilion Chromebook](http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/devices/hp-pavilion-chromebook.html#hp-pav) (S$449), [Samsung Chromebook](http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/devices/samsung-chromebook.html#ss-cb) (S$449) and [Acer C7 Chromebook](http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/devices/acer-c7-chromebook.html#ac-c7) (S$369).

For the HP Pavilion Chromebook, you can get it from [HP Online Store](http://h20386.www2.hp.com/SingaporeStore/BundleDetail.aspx?pdetail=P294475&) as well.

In the US, HP Pavilion Chromebook and Samsung Chromebook are retailing for US$249 (S$315) and Acer C7 Chromebook is retailing for US$199 (S$252). I think if you include shipping charges to Singapore from freight forwarder like [comGateway](http://www.comgateway.com/), it is still cheaper to get from the US if you don’t need the warranty.

If you have the budget, I recommend waiting for the [Chromebook Pixel](http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/devices/chromebook-pixel/) (WiFi: US$1,299/S$1642, LTE: US$1,449/S$1832).
