On the 27th August 2014, Dropbox [announced that](https://blog.dropbox.com/2014/08/introducing-more-powerful-dropbox-pro/) the [Dropbox Pro](https://www.dropbox.com/pro) plan now comes with 1TB (1,000 GB) of storage for US$9.99/month (S$13/month) or you can pay upfront for the year and that will cost you US$99/year (S$125/year).

Previously, US$9.90/month will only give you 100GB of storage, while 200GB will cost you US$19.99/month and 500GB will cost you US$49.99.

I have been a Dropbox Pro subscriber since February 2011 and I have been waiting for this change since Google [drop their price for Google Drive](http://googleblog.blogspot.sg/2014/03/save-more-with-google-drive.html) (US$9.99/month for 1TB) back in March 2014 and Microsoft [decided to give all Office 365 subscribers 1TB for free](http://blogs.office.com/2014/06/23/1-tb-of-onedrive-storage-coming-to-an-office-365-near-you/) back in June 2014. Thank you Dropbox!

For existing Dropbox Pro subscribers, you should already see the new 1TB storage in your Dropbox.
