The [Sonos BOOST](http://www.sonos.com/en/shop/boost.html) is retailing for **S$199** in Singapore.

It is retailing for [US$99 (S$141) on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/SONOS-BOOST-Sonos-Wireless-Network/dp/B00NZ80B80) and doesn’t ship to Singapore directly. Since the price difference before freight forwarding is only about S$60, it is not really worth getting it over at Amazon.

Sonos BOOST creates a dedicated wireless network for use by Sonos and hence it eliminates interference from other wireless devices on your existing Wi-Fi.

The reason I bought the Sonos BOOST is because I have issues connecting my second [PLAY:1](https://lesterchan.net/blog/2016/12/16/sonos-play1/) to my Sonos network. The second PLAY:1 is connected via LAN as well and it manages to receive an IP from the router. However, my iOS Sonos controller is unable to connect to it. I tried factory resetting my second PLAY:1 and switching off and on my router again but that didn’t work.

It seems a few other people also encountered the [same issue of unable to connect the second Sonos to the Sonos network](https://en.community.sonos.com/troubleshooting-228999/play1-wont-connect-6740383).

Using the Sonos BOOST, it works fine and I guess in terms of wiring, there is only one power wire to my PLAY:1s which looks neater.
