It was fully funded on 20th February 2018 where it raised a total of US$657,117 from 4,902 backers out of their initial goal of US$100,000. It started shipping in June 2018, and I received it on the 4th of July 2018. I missed the initial early bird price of US$79 (S$108) and hence my friend, [Kevin Lim](https://www.linkedin.com/in/kevinlim/), asked me whether I am interested in joining him for the 2x HyperDrive early bird instead. > Get two (2) HyperDrive at more than 50% off the expected retail price of $318! The cost adds up to US$158 (S$216) plus US$20 (S$28) for shipping to Singapore. That works out to be US$178 (S$244) for two units of HyperDrive. Hence, each of us paid **S$122** each. Once I tore it out, it leaves a sticky residue on the plastic bottom. It took me a while to remove it. I was expecting a better quality film. It includes a rather short USB-C to USB-C cable. When I am trying to remove the sticky residue left behind by the film, I accidentally rub it off. Because it is tiny, I think it is a matter of time before you lose it. I am sure it will come off eventually when you are carrying it around in your bag.
