Saw one of my friend’s (Terry) Facebook posts on recommendations for a digital thermometer, and he ended up buying the InstamediQ Digital Forehead and Ear Thermometer from Amazon Singapore.
I joined the bandwagon and bought the same thermometer for S$48.91. It ships from Amazon.com, but since I am an Amazon Singapore Prime member, shipping is free for me.
The Lian Li TU150 doesn’t come with any dust filter at the bottom. As the bottom fan is responsible for the intake of air, it will be dusty.
Benjamin recommended me to get the DEMCiflex Dust Filter ST30 Double 120mm from Amazon.
For casing, I am looking at Lian Li TU150 in black. It is a mini-ITX chassis that supports four 120mm fans â two at the bottom, one in front, and one at the back.
They say Noctua has the best casing fans and hence it is expensive. It cost about US$29.90 (S$42) each.
Benjamin recommended me to go with AMD instead of Intel. So I will be getting the AMD Ryzen R-3700X.
For RAM, Benjamin recommended the G.Skill Trident Z Neo Series 32GB. It is a PC4-28800, 3,600 MHz, 288 pins RAM with a CAS Latency of CL16 (16-19-19-39) at 1.35V.
My secondary storage will be the SanDisk Ultra 3D NAND 2TB Internal SSD. I got it for US$209.99 (S$292) on Amazon. Shipping to Singapore is an additional US$4.71 (S$7).
Unlike the addlink S70 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD which uses NVMe connector to give you speed of up to 3,500 MB/s, this SanDisk Ultra 3D 2TB SSD is slightly slower as it uses SATA III. The advertised read speed is up to 560 MB/s and write speed is up to 530 MB/s.
So I decided to build a new gaming PC. Benjamin helped me put together a list of computer parts to buy based on my budget as I have lost touch with it.
I am getting the RAM, SSD, Case Fans, and Case Fan Filter from Amazon, while the rest I might get from Dynacore next month.
The Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra 5G will be available in Singapore from Friday, 6th March 2020.
