The Crucial P1 NVMe M.2 SSD is extremely popular because it is one of the most valued for money NVMe M.2 SSD.

The [1TB variant](https://www.crucial.com/ssd/p1/ct1000p1ssd8) is capable of 2,000 MB/s Read and 1,700 MB/s Write while the [500GB variant](https://www.crucial.com/ssd/p1/ct500p1ssd8) is capable of 1,900 MB/s Read and 950 MB/s Write.

For the 1TB variant, I tried twice to get it on Lazada. Once on [Dynacore](https://www.lazada.sg/shop/dynacore/) and once from [Convergent Systems](https://www.lazada.sg/shop/convergent-systems/). Convergent Systems is the official distributor for Crucial products in Singapore.

I did not succeed in both attempts. After paying, the shop will message me telling me that they have run out of stock, and they initiated a refund for me. It looks like the stock level count on Lazada is useless.

On [Amazon.sg](https://www.amazon.sg/gp/product/B07J2Q4SWZ/), it is sold out as well, and you have to wait till July 2020. The price is also higher than the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) in Singapore.

So I decided to get the 500GB instead. Not surprising that you can’t find it on Lazada anymore since the 500GB variant is sold out as well.

By chance, I saw the 500GB variant on [Amazon.sg](https://www.amazon.sg/gp/product/B07J2WBKXF/) and the shipping date is in June 2020. I placed the order on 12th May 2020, and I received it on 25th May 2020. The 500GB variant is now sold out as of 27th May 2020.

I got it for **S$85.50** with free shipping to Singapore as I am an Amazon Singapore Prime Member. It is slightly cheaper than the RRP in Singapore, which is about S$90.

I bought two 500GB, and I am going to use it on my new Synology NAS as [SSD Cache](https://www.synology.com/en-global/knowledgebase/DSM/help/DSM/StorageManager/genericssdcache).

Since it will be used as an SSD cache, I don’t need such a good NVMe M.2 SSD.

Hence, I chose the Crucial P1, which is one of the cheapest NVMe M.2 SSD in the market and is [compatible with Synology NAS](https://www.synology.com/en-global/compatibility?search_by=category&category=m2_ssd_internal&filter_brand=Crucial&p=1) (tested and verified by Synology themselves).
