Moshi Symbus is Moshi’s range of USB-C Hubs and Docks.

The only product available right now outside of US is the [Moshi Symbus Mini 7-in-1 USB-C Hub](https://www.moshi.com/en/product/symbus-mini-7-in-1-portable-usb-c-hub/titanium-gray).

Like almost all Moshi products, this is made in Taiwan, and it retails for **S$150** on [Lazada](https://www.lazada.sg/products/moshi-symbus-mini-7-in-1-portable-usb-c-hubfast-laptop-pass-through-charging-up-to-70-w-with-usb-pd-30sdmicrosd-card-readerhdmi-20-portgigabit-ethernet-port-i1623870140-s7640124393.html).

When I first unbox it, I expected it to be much smaller since it was supposed to be “mini.” The length of the hub is almost the same as an iPhone 12.

Despite being larger than I expected, it is still relatively thin and light (125 g).

The top shell where the Titanium Gray color is is made of anodized aluminum, while the rest is made of black plastic.

Moshi calls this SnapTo magnetic cable management. The USB-C end of the cable is attached to the hub with the help of magnets.

At first, I did not notice it because the magnet is not very strong, and upon reading the features, I realized that it is using magnets. I thought is just a regular slot that fits the USB-C end perfectly.

The USB-C end of the cable comes with an anodized aluminum casing and an anti-fray design.

The only port that is located on the left is the Gigabit Ethernet Port.

This is a 7-in-1 USB-C hub which consists of:

- 2x USB-A Port (USB 3.1 Gen 1 – 5 Gbps)
- 1x SD Card Slot (104 MB/s)
- 1x microSD Card Slot (104 MB/s)
- 1x HDMI (2.0 – 4K @ 60Hz)
- 1x USB-C (USB-PD 3 – 70W)
- 1x Gigabit Ethernet Port (1 Gbps)

Despite the official specs stating that the USB-PD 3.0 passthrough supports up to 70W of power, my MacBook Pro 15.4″ can detect 86W with the passthrough from the hub. So I guess it is ok.

After using it for an hour, the temperature of the hub still remains cool at about 37°C.
