My MCO light switch in my Kitchen and Games Room decided to give up connecting to Z-Wave, so I replaced it with [Sonoff T2UK Wi-Fi Smart Wall Switches](https://lesterchan.net/blog/2020/12/09/sonoff-t2uk-wi-fi-smart-wall-switch/).

I still find Wi-Fi is more reliable for me than Z-Wave thanks to my [eero Wi-Fi System](https://lesterchan.net/blog/2017/01/03/eero-wi-fi-system-review/).

Since now more than half of my light switches are on Sonoff, I decided to get the [Sonoff RM 433 Multipurpose Custom Remote Controller](https://sonoff.tech/product/accessories/rm433/), so I can control up to eight lights using the [433 MHz](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LPD433) frequency. This is on top of the regular app control via Wi-Fi.

It is useless if you are just pairing it with a light switch.

Press and hold the light switch you want to pair for three seconds until you hear a beep sound, and press the button on the remote control. And that’s it. Easy peasy.
