Looks like they already have ready stock in Singapore. I went to Funan’s Multimedia Integrated and could not find it, apparently they have not distributed it to the resellers yet. I really wish Apple would open a store here in Singapore, like what they did in Hong Kong.
Previously, I bought the Apple USB Ethernet Adapter but unfortunately due to the maximum speed of USB 2, it is not possible to have a Gigabit connectivity. But with Thunderbolt, the maximum data speed can go up to 20Gbps which is 20 times more than a Gigabit Ethernet connection. You might not feel the difference when surfing the Internet, but when it comes to transferring large files within a gigabit network, you can really feel the slowest of a 100Mbps connection vs a 1Gbps connection.
The packaging of the adapter was pretty environment friendly because it did not come with any plastic cover for the ports.
If you compare both the Thunderbolt and USB Ethernet Adapter, the Thunderbolt Ethernet Adapter is much shorter and there is no Apple logo on it. The Ethernet port of the Ethernet Adapter is also opposite that of the USB Ethernet Adapter (see the last picture).
