Xiaomi Mi 10,000mAh Wireless Power Bank
Xiaomi Mi 10,000mAh Wireless Power Bank is the wireless version of the Xiaomi Mi 10,000mAh Power Bank (3rd Generation).
It officially retails for CN¥149 (S$30).
Since it is not officially available in Singapore, you can get it from Souky on Lazada for the same price at S$30. Standard delivery within Singapore is an additional S$1.49.
Souky has slowly become my goto online store for gadgets if I can’t find any official store on Lazada selling the gadget that I am looking for. They have a vast range of the latest and trendy gadgets that sometimes are not carried by local distributors. So far, they have 893 followers with a 99% positive seller rating. Pretty impressive.
In terms of packaging, instead of the 30 cm USB-A to Micro USB/USB-C cable found in the Xiaomi Mi 10,000mAh Power Bank (3rd Generation), this power bank comes with a 30 cm USB-A to USB-C cable.
Both power banks have similar specifications. Both have 18W USB-C PD input and output, and both have USB-A output that supports QC3.
Of course, as this product name suggests, Xiaomi Mi 10,000mAh Wireless Power Bank has an additional 10W Qi wireless output and doesn’t come with a Micro USB input.
Since this power bank has the ability to charge devices via USB-C, USB-A, and Qi, you will be happy to know that you can charge three devices simultaneously using all three output methods.
Because wireless charging can’t pass through metal, this power bank is encased in plastic rather than aluminum. Surprisingly, it is even heavier weighing at 304 g vs. 250 g.
With the addition of the wireless charging coil, this power bank is thicker as well, measuring 148 x 72 × 19 mm vs. 147 x 71 × 14 mm.

You might be wondering why do you need a wireless charger in a power bank when the purpose of the power bank is to charge your mobile phone in the fastest possible way.
There are two use cases that I can think of. The first one is the most straightforward and is probably applicable to me. You have forgotten to bring a charging cable, or you have lost it when you are out. Without a charging cable, you still can charge your iPhone wirelessly using this power bank.
Not really recommended but the second use case is to use it as a wireless charger while being plugged into the wall socket. So your power bank is always charged and ready to go anytime. This might have a damaging effect on the battery in the long run.
For those people who like to use their mobile phone until its battery is less than 10% before charging, the wireless charging functionality of this power bank might not be useful for you. You will be better off with the non-wireless power bank instead.
