The Canon PowerShot N was launched earlier this year (April 2013) for S$399 and is available only in one color, white.
It uses a micro SD memory card, has a 12.1 megapixels CMOS sensor featuring a DIGIC 5 image processor, and has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. For the full specifications, check out Canon PowerShot N’s Specification Page.
This year it was held at Zaffereno on the 5th October 2012 where it launches 5 new PIXMA inkjet printers, 5 new imageCLASS laser printers, 1 SELPHY compact photo printer, 5 new PowerShot cameras and 1 EOS DLSR Camera.
Was invited to Canon’s product launch for the 2nd half of 2011 at Zirca last Thursday, 29th September 2011.
This product launch covers 7 products from PIXMA inkjet printers, 10 from imageCLASS laser printers, 3 from PowerShot cameras, 2 from IXUS cameras, and 1 LV projector.
I was invited to the blogger session of Canon’s First Product Launch for 2011 at the brand new Canon Imaging Academy (CIA) which is just located right beside their office at Keppel Bay Tower!
The CIA will focus on developing new curricula, courses, and events that will enhance the imaging experience of programme participants. Courses planned for 2011 include basic photography, intermediate photography, strobist, studio lighting, creative photography and editing with DPP courses. The CIA will also introduce videography courses in 2011 to meet the increasing demand of enthusiasts who enjoy creating movies using Canonâs LEGRIA camcorders. For those who prefer a greater emphasis on hands-on experience, the CIA will also offer photography outings and overseas photo clinics. Each of the courses are designed to suit the varying skill-levels of participants from beginners to intermediate.
Bought the Canon PowerShot S95 from the Canon Service Center at Keppel Towers for S$531 (usual price S$669) through the Canon Privilege Purchase Program. This program entice users to purchase another Canon product by allowing trade-in/buy-back of their previously owned Canon products and offering them about 20.5% off the recommended retail price (RRP).
I traded-in my Canon IXUS 860IS which I got from Malaysia back in July 2008 for the new Canon PowerShot S95 which was just launched a few weeks back. The RRP of the Canon PowerShot S95 is S$669 and after the trade-in, I paid S$531. That is about 20.6% off.
Went to the Canon second blogging event today. It is held at 1 Caramel at Handy Road (just beside The Cathay). The first one was held almost 6 months ago! Whenever Canon has a blogger event, they really spam us with lots and lots of camera and I have to refer to the press release in order to get all their names lol.
The cameras presented to us today are PowerShot S90, PowerShot G11, PowerShot SX20 IS, PowerShot SX120 IS, IXUS 120 IS, IXUS 200 IS, EOS 7D, Legria HF S11, Legria HF 21, Selphy ES 40, Selphy CP 790 and 3 new EOS EF lenses.
I am a Canon fan so does my family and Li Xiang. I prefer Canon for digital cameras over any other brands. I was invited to the first Canon’s blogger event at Screening Room which they unveil a full range of updated IXUS and PowerShot series digital cameras as well as a new series of Camcorders called Legria. In additional, there is also a new model to the EOS series, the Canon EOS 500D. Currently I am using the Canon IXUS 860IS which is kinda outdated, thinking of getting the Canon EOS 50D soon.
Wong Li Lin is there at the event as well as she is the official ambassador for Canon.
