My new iPad Pro 11-inch (M4) only supports the Apple Pencil Pro, so my old Pencil 2 won't work. Despite just four real differences between them, Apple gives no reason it couldn't support the older pencil, conveniently pushing the upgrade.
The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) retails for S$189 in Singapore, or S$176.64 tax-free at the airport once you strip out the 7% GST. It's S$51 dearer than the first-generation Pencil, but pairs only with the latest iPad Pro.
With Li Xiang drawing constantly in FiftyThree's Paper app to design our new house, I picked up the FiftyThree Pencil stylus. Launched in November 2013, the Pencil is built to pair with Paper, working far better than an ordinary stylus.
The LunaTik Touch Pen was the 6th project I backed on Kickstarter, pledging on 14th December 2011. It funded on 10th February 2012, raising US$309,183 against a US$75,000 goal. After some delays, I finally received it on 10th July.
I bought the Wacom Bamboo Stylus from The Software Boutique for S$42, choosing Black from six colours. Of the three styluses Li Xiang owns, the Sensu Artist Brush, Power Support Smart Pen, and Wacom Bamboo, she preferred the Bamboo.
The Sensu Artist Brush & Stylus was the 5th project I backed on Kickstarter. I backed it because the capacitive brush stylus intrigued me. It has two tips: a brush and a rubber tip at opposite ends.
Bought the Power Support Smart Pen for Li Xiang at Challenger for S$39.90. Four colours are offered; I picked Brushed. Made in Korea, it feels solid, though I can't draw on my iPad so it suits designers better.
