FiftyThree Pencil Stylus
Li Xiang has been drawing a lot on the free FiftyThree’s Paper iOS app lately. That is because she is designing for our new house which is going to start renovation after Lunar New Year (8th February 2016).
I knew about the FiftyThree Pencil when it was launched back in November 2013. I figured that Pencil should work very well with Paper, much better than a normal stylus.
That is because Pencil connects to your iPad via Bluetooth which gives you more features like surface pressure, eraser tip and palm rejection.
The Pencil has a built-in battery that you can charged using any USB port. It takes about 90 minutes to fully charge the Pencil and each full charge should be able to last you about a month.
Each Pencil is milled from a single, solid piece of material. Three colors are available: Graphite (Brushed Aluminum), Gold (Brushed Aluminum) and Walnut.
It measures 138mm x 15.6mm x 8.5mm (L x W x H) and weighs 26g for the Walnut and 34g for the Graphite/Gold.
The Gold and Walnut cost US$59.95 (S$86) each while the Graphite cost US$49.95 (S$72). Shipping to Singapore via USPS Air Mail cost US$4.36 (S$7) and it takes about 15 business days (3 weeks) to reach Singapore. It was shipped to me on 26th January 2016 and I only got it on 11th February 2016.
If you are intending to buy the Pencil, add it to cart first with your email and shipping address filled in. Then wait for the next day before checking out.
That is because the next day they will email you a FiftyThree discount coupon code 53WELCOMEBACK and that coupon code will give you US$5 (S$8) off your purchase.
In total I paid US$59.95 (S$86) + US$4.36 (S$7) – US$5 (S$8) = US$59.31 (S$85) for the Pencil.
