I backed the Dash microSD and SD Card Reader on Kickstarter on 16th November 2015. The project was funded on 1st December 2015 after raising a total of US$11,492 out of their initial goal of US$10,000 from 717 backers.
I chose the US$22 reward level and shipping to Singapore cost another US$3 (despite it stating US$2). So in total, I paid US$25 (S$36).
Build your own rewards! Any combination of the 3 types of Dash readers (>=2 units): $11 each for Type-C reader or MicroUSB reader, $12 each for Full-Size SD reader. $2 world-wide standard shipping.
I chose the Dash microSD Card Reader with USB Type-C Plug and Dash FS (full-size) SD Card Reader as my rewards.
If you choose the Dash FS SD Card Reader, you will get to choose a cable to go with it. I chose the USB 3.1 Type-C to USB 3.0 Micro-USB cable.
It was shipped to me on 1st February 2016 and I received the product on 23rd February 2016.
The casing of both readers are made of aircraft grade aluminum with anodized finish.
For the microSD/SD card slot, it is spring loaded. You can just push to release. The cards will stay flush when slotted inside the reader as a form of protection.
