Ariston Andris Lux Storage Water Heater Leaking
Ariston Andris Lux is a electric storage water heater that comes in two capacity, 15L and 30L.
I got the 15L back in March 2016 for S$280 and integrated to with my smart home with MCO Touch Panel
Starting this year, it has shown signs of a leak. But it was on and off. Nothing major, so I ignored it.
Then just two weeks ago, it started leaking non-stop. I have to turn off the valve for it to stop.
Even when the valve is off, whenever I turn on any taps in the toilet, it will still leak. But it will come to a complete stop after a few minutes. I have to put a pail below the heater.
I called Ariston last Monday via their hotline +65 6305 0899, but they told me to WhatsApp them instead at +65 8338 8189.
You will need to WhatsApp them these things:
- Your name, address, mobile, and description of the problem.
- Photo of the invoice for the heater. The invoice date is the start date of your warranty.
- Photo of the heater leaking.
- Photo of the bottom of the heater. The label containing the serial number is at the bottom.
You will not get a blue tick immediately. For me, Ariston called me back the next day (Tuesday) and arranged for the service to be done on the next day (Wednesday). So it takes about three working days.
The warranty Ariston Andris Lux is five years. However, after the first year, you will need to pay for labor costs. They will do a one-time one-to-one replacement within these five years.
In my case, I have been using it for more than four years, so I paid S$150 for labor, and they did a one-to-one replacement for me. Hopefully, it will last me for another four years or more.
The replacement unit might or might not be a refurbished unit (I did not ask). If it is a refurbished unit, I am not surprised since most electronic replacement units are refurbished like iPhones and hard drives.
The replacement unit is a brand new set as confirmed by Ariston.
Nevertheless, I am very impressed with the aftersale service of Ariston for its storage water heater.
