Ugreen DigiNest Pro Power Strip
Ugreen DigiNest Pro Power Strip retails for S$169.99 on Lazada. Like most Ugreen products, if you do not have an urgent need for them, you can wait for a double-digit sales day (like the upcoming 8/8), where most of their items will be cheaper on that day.
DigiNest Pro is an interesting and probably the first product from Ugreen that comes with three AC ports, three USB-C ports, and one USB-A port.
One thing to note is that all the three AC ports come with North and Central America and Japan plug types: Type A and Type B. The only difference between Type A and Type B is the latter comes with an additional earth pin for grounding.
The combined output of all the USB ports is 100W. The first and second USB-C ports will max out at 100W, while the third USB-C and USB-A ports max out at 22.5W.
Two of the three AC ports are located at the back of DigiNest Pro. Those are for Type-B plugs.
Remember that the combined output of all the three AC ports is 1,875W, as printed on the back.
The last AC port is located on the top, and it is for the Type-A plug.
DigiNest Pro supports 100V – 240V, so you don’t need a transformer to use it. This makes it a good travel gadget when visiting the US or Japan.
The power cable of the DigiNest Pro is 1.8m in length.
It comes with a Type-B plug. Sadly it is non-removable. I wish it used the IEC connector, so at least when I am using it in Singapore, I can swap out the cable.
DigiNest Pro measures 127 x 74 x 57 (mm) and weighs about 600 g.
The most probable use case for the DigiNest Pro is for use when traveling to the US or Japan.
However, if you have many items from US and Japan, you can also use the DigiNest Pro with travel adapters like what I did above. So you just need to place the DigiNest Pro on your desk with just one power cable coming out from underneath the desk. Get four short USB cables (50 cm) from Ugreen, and your desk will be neater.
In my case, I am placing it on my living room’s side table. My Nest Cam IQ Indoor and Google Nest Hub (1st Generation) are from the US, while my Dyson AM06 Desk Fan is from Singapore. And now I have four extra USB ports to charge my devices.
