Ugreen HDMI 2.1 Switch
Ugreen HDMI 2.1 Switch is a single direction HDMI switch that takes in two inputs and gives you one output.
The standalone unit of Ugreen HDMI 2.1 Switch retails for S$29.99 on Lazada. Standalone, meaning it doesn’t come with any HDMI cables.
As the product name suggests, it is an HDMI 2.1 switch, which supports resolutions up to 8K@60Hz, 4K@144Hz, 4K@120Hz, and 1080P@240Hz. It is also backward compatible with 4K@60Hz, 4K@30Hz, and 1080P@60Hz.
The shell of the switch is made of aluminum alloy, so the build is solid. There are two LED indicators below the letters 8K to indicate which HDMI input is the active one.
Two HDMI inputs to one HDMI output.
Because it supports up to 8K@60Hz, it needs to be powered. The HDMI switch comes with a USB-C port, and you can use the included USB-A to USB-C cable to power the HDMI switch from your television’s USB port.
At the push of a button, it will toggle between two input devices. It saves the hassle of plugging in and out the HDMI cable from the devices.
I got this Ugreen HDMI 2.1 Switch because my PRISM+ Q55 TV only has three HDMI ports, but I have four HDMI devices to connect.
- HDMI 1 (ARC): Sonos Beam
- HDMI 2: Apple TV 4K
- HDMI 3: Sony PlayStation 4 / Nintendo Switch
