Robot vacuum cleaners for the home.
Dasher sent me the Mova P50 Ultra robot vacuum, from the same group as Dreame. It comes in two variants: the P50 Ultra at S$699 and the Pro Ultra at S$999, the latter adding a liftable roller brush and auto-detergent.
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the flagship, retailing for S$1,769.90 in black or white. The robot offers 6,000Pa suction, dual roller brushes, and VibraRise 2.0 mopping, with the Pro Ultra adding an all-in-one dock.
The DreameBot L10s Ultra is Dreame's flagship robot cleaner. Dreame is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem, distributed exclusively in Singapore by Dasher. It retails for S$1,599, Shopee-exclusive until end September 2022, with early-bird pricing lower.
The Roborock G10 launched in Singapore on 7th July 2022 with an RRP of S$1,699, though double-digit sales days routinely bring it far lower, to around S$999.90 on both Shopee and Lazada.
The Roborock Q7 Max launches the mid-range Q series, sitting between the S and E lines. It is the successor to the S5 Max and retails for S$699, known in some markets as the T7 Max.
My first Singles' Day buy was the Roborock S7 to replace my nearly five-year-old iRobot Roomba 980. Against an RRP of S$799, an 11/11 flash sale and stacked vouchers brought my price down to just S$598.47.
My iRobot Roomba 980's side brush kept failing, its rubber heads turning brittle and snapping, even on the spare after a single clean. Frustratingly, replacements are only available from iRobot's official agent, with no cheaper alternative.
My cousin Joanne gave me the iRobot Roomba 980 as a housewarming gift. The top-of-the-line Roomba retails for S$1,498, sitting above the Roomba 880 at S$1,298, the 650 at S$798, and the entry-level 630 at S$698.
