In Sydney, almost everything there is more expensive than in Singapore maybe except for coffee and this HiRise dock. I bought the Twelve South HiRise for iPhone 5 & iPad Mini from Apple Store Sydney for AU$34.95 (S$41). In Apple Online Store (Singapore), the same dock is retailing for S$49.
This HiRise dock is compatible with all Apple Lighting devices maybe except for the iPad. Though I tested with an iPad Air and it fits fine, it is very flimsy and easily topple from the side of the dock.
Twelve South HiRise for iPhone 5 & iPad Mini – Box Front
Twelve South PlugBug World was announced beginning this year and I have no idea why is it not selling in Singapore yet, not even the Apple Online Store in Singapore.
When Li Xiang went to Hong Kong last week, she bought it for me from the Apple Store in IFC Mall, Hong Kong. It is retailing for HK$348 (S$60). Li Xiang also mentioned that the Twelve South PlugBug World is not displayed on the shelves and you might need to request the store assistant to get it from their storeroom.
I can’t seem to find the HiRise in Singapore, even Apple Singapore and Hong Kong Online Store doesn’t list the product. You best bet is to get the product directly from Twelve South website itself for US$79.99 (S$99) excluding shipping of about US$45 to Singapore.
Bought the Twelve South BackPack 2 from Hong Kong Hysan Place’s Apple Store located in Causeway Bay for HK$268 (S$43). I saw it selling in Singapore at Epicenter at Wheelock Place for S$55 while Apple Singapore Online Store is selling for S$49.
The BackPack 2 fits well for the new iMac 27″ (Late 2012), but according to the site, it is not yet compatible with the new 21.5″ iMac.
The Twelve South BookArc (Apple Store – Singapore link) which cost S$65 is my second birthday present from Li Xiang!
The Twelve South BookArc holds up the MacBook Air (2nd generation) upright which frees up table space if you are not using your MacBook Air’s screen as a secondary monitor. There is also a gap in the stand which allows the power cable to pass through.
Li Xiang got for me 2 presents this year and a short trip to Malaysia for my birthday! The Twelve South MagicWand (Apple Store – Singapore link) which cost S$45 is my first present and the Twelve South BookArc (Apple Store – Singapore link) which cost S$65 is the second present!
The PlugBug charger acts as an US travel adapter for your MacBook Pro/Air MacSafe Power Adapter and on top of that it gives you an additional USB port that allows you to charge your iPhone or iPad. I find it super useful for hotels that has limited power sockets. If you prefer not to attached it to your MacSafe Power Adapter, no worries as it can be used as a standalone USB charger.
