Bought the Griffin Retractable USB Charge Cable with Lightning Connector from BestBuy‘s 5th Ave store for US$24.99 and after a 8.875% tax, it cost US$27.21 (S$34.62).
I always wanted a good quality retractable lightning cable just for the fun and “less messiness” of it. This Griffin retractable lightning cable measures 10cm in length, 4cm in width, 1cm in thickness and weights 35g! The total length of the lightning cable when it is fully unwind is about 0.7m.
Spixi is a retractable cable for smartphones which I backed on Kickstarter back in November 2012. Despite it being funded, it didn’t deliver and hence I never gotten the goods. It is the only Kickstarter project that I backed and I did not receive anything! I feel so cheated!
So when I saw the Griffin’s retractable lightning cable at BestBuy while helping my friend to get his Kindle Paperwhite, I immediately bought it!
I hope it will be available in Singapore eventually. The selection of Griffin’s product in Singapore is extremely little!

Does it fit well? very sceptical about those cheaper cables because I have very bad experience on it like will not fit properly, Lightning will not sync.
yea, that was a problem when lightning was new. I remember buying like 10 retractable cables and only having 2 work reliably.
It’s believe no longer an issue though, it’s been a few years and I believe they’ve gotten it right. These are the same cables being sold in challenger for 12.90 btw (the non-duo ones). I bought 2 of these and both are working perfectly.
If anything, it’s great just to need 1 cable if you have a battery pack and another microusb device on the go.
Just ordered a few more. Gonna try to add a walkman port to 1 of them lol
