LEGO Custom Minifigures by minifiglabs.com
Received my custom LEGO Minifigures (Minifig) from Minifiglabs.com. Minifiglabs.com is a service started by a Singaporean company, Fish & Toast. It allows you to create your very own printed personalised LEGO Minifigures.
I was given the Cool Denim Couple Set which consists of two custom Minifig (printed with Lay Hiang and my name) and another custom Minifig with my logo printed on it.
The Cool Denim Couple Set retails for S$63.80 while the custom Minifig starts from S$7.10 and my particular custom Minifig combination costs S$17.40 (excluding the case which cost S$7.10).
Shipping is separate and done via SingPost, charges and timing are as follows:
- Registered Domestic (Singapore) [3 – 4 days]: from S$2.24
- Express Courier Domestic (Singapore) [2 days]: from S$6
- Registered International Airmail [2 – 5 weeks]: from S$3.30
Minifiglabs.com uses brand new official LEGO parts and it is directly printed on the Minifigs with a special industrial printer (it is not a decal). Printing takes place in a 4-step process. A layer of primer is first printed to ensure that ink stays on, followed by a base layer of white ink. Next, the colors that you have designed will be printed and lastly a protective clear coat is applied for durability.
The online designer allow you to choose from a different combination of parts such as head, torso & arms, hands, hips, legs and hair. Besides hands and hair, the rest of the parts can be printed. For text designs, you can choose from more than 800 fonts. If you don’t like the offered designs, you can also upload your own design in svgz, cdr, eps, gif, jpg, pdf, png, svg or tif format.
