Moto Mods
What makes the Moto Z and Moto Z Play special is the Moto Mods. Both phones comes with the Moto Mods connector which is located at the back of the phone.
Moto Mods transform your smartphone into a more power dedicated device like a camera, projector, speaker, etc. It seamlessly attaches itself magnetically to the back of the Moto Z or Moto Z Play without having to do a power cycle.
4 Moto Mods will be available at launch:
- JBL SoundBoost Speaker – S$139
- Hasselblad True Zoom Camera – S$459
- Insta-Share Projector – S$399
- Incipio offGRID Power Pack – S$139
If you are not using any Moto Mods, you can use the various Style Shells to cover up the Moto Mods connector:
- Black Leather – S$29
- Charcoal Ash – S$29
- Silver Oak – S$29
- Washed Oak – S$29
- Crimson Ballistic Nylon – S$25
- Black Herring – S$25
I played with the Moto Z and I am impressed at how thin it is. The Moto Mods are just an awesome addition to the phonebut a tad expensive.
I might consider getting this to replace Li Xiang’s Nexus 6 which is about 2 years old.
