Cable Matters HDMI Cable is a 4K HDMI cable that supports HDMI 2.0b specification, and that includes 4K at 60Hz Ultra High Definition (UHD) video content, High Dynamic Range (HDR) 10 image quality and RGB 4:4:4 chroma colors.
Other video resolutions supported include 4096×2160, 3840×2160, 2560×1600, 2560×1440, 1920×1200, and 1920×1080 (1080p).
For audio, it supports 5.1 and 7.1 Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
Both its connector ends are gold plated.
At first, I thought, “Premium Certified” is a gimmicky marketing phrase, but in fact, it is an official term by HDMI.
There is a Premium HDMI Cable Certification Program that tests and certifies whether an HDMI cable is capable of full 18 Gbps bandwidth from the HDMI 2.0b specification. On top of that, it also does an EMI test to ensure the cable has minimal interference from wireless signals.
There is even a HDMI Premium Cable app on App Store for iOS devices and Play Store for Android devices that you can download and authenticate HDMI products tagged with the HDMI Premium Certified label.
