Choetech is no newcomer to dual wireless charging pads. I have been using the Choetech USB-C Dual 5W Wireless Charging Pad in the office, and it is still serving well.
So I decided to get one for my home. Choetech’s 5 Coils Dual Fast Wireless Charging Pad is the upgraded version of the Dual 5W Wireless Charging Pad.
As the name of the product suggests, it has five built-in coils in the charging pad that can charge two devices simultaneously.
In terms of design, it has an anti-slip PU leather on the wireless charging area and anti-slip pads at the bottom of the charging pad.
It measures 17 cm x 8 cm x 1.2 cm and weighs 168 g.
Despite using a USB-C port for power input, it does not support USB-C Power Delivery (PD), and hence if you are powering the charging pad with USB-C PD, it will fall back to 5W charging.
The charging pad is Qi certified and supports 5W, 7.5W, and 10W wireless charging.
To utilize the 7.5W fast charging for iPhones and 10W fast charging for selected Android devices, you will need to use a Quick Charge 3.0 (QC3) charger, which is sold separately.
There is a USB-C to USB-A cable which is included in the packaging.
The charging pad has a small footprint and is smaller than the Nomad Base Station.
Putting two huge phones like the iPhone XS Max and Huawei P30 Pro will almost cover the whole charging pad.
For the price of S$39.90 on Lazada, it is a value for money no frills dual wireless charger.
The equivalent of the Choetech 5 Coils Dual Fast Wireless Charging Pad is the Nomad Base Station Hub Edition, and that retails for S$169, which is more than four times the price of this.
