Canon EF50mm f/1.8 II Lens
Finally got the chance to buy the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens. Canon's website lists it at S$159, but I picked it up for S$128 at Alan Photo Trading, plus a S$15 filter to go with it.

Cisco Flip MinoHD Event
Attended the Cisco Flip MinoHD event yesterday at The Queen and Mangosteen in VivoCity, my first visit there, and the food was lovely, I'll definitely return. The Flip itself underwhelmed me, with no autofocus, no macro and no optical zoom.

Bought the Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens from Alan Photo on Saturday for S$1,070. I regret not getting the 50D Kit III instead, but back then I knew nothing about photography and just wanted something cheap, simple and multipurpose.

Bought the Phottix Cleon 2 Wireless Remote C8 from Red Dot Photo for S$59, paid by PayPal with free delivery. Ordered 16th February 2010, it reached me in just two days. I got it for my growing tripod use.
Digi Cabi Electronic Dry Cabinet AD-050
Mom bought me the Digi Cabi Electronic Dry Cabinet AD-050 for S$209 at Challenger VivoCity. I got one after spotting rust on my lens filter, probably from condensation, since I only run the bedroom air-conditioner at night.
Canon 50D
Finally got my Canon 50D with the EF-S 18-55mm kit lens after waiting over a month for stock. Thanks to Glenn and Noel from Ogilvy PR for ordering it quickly. I took it for a field test afterwards.
Canon Second Blogger Event
Attended Canon's second blogger event today at 1 Caramel on Handy Road; the first was nearly six months ago. Canon always spams us with loads of cameras, so I rely on the press release for all their names!

I'm a Canon fan and prefer it over any other brand. I was invited to Canon's first blogger event at Screening Room, where they unveiled updated IXUS and PowerShot ranges plus new camcorders.
Samsung VP-MX10 Review
Samsung kindly sent me a VP-MX10 to review, along with a 4GiB SanDisk SDHC card. As my very first camcorder, this review can't be too in-depth, since I can only compare it against the video feature of my digital camera.
Samsung VP-MX10
I got hold of the Samsung VP-MX10 last month but had no time to review it amid assignments and exam prep. In brief, it's a PAL camcorder recording to memory, with a CCD image sensor of around 800K pixels.

I got the black Canon Digital IXUS 860 IS at Comex 2007 for $669; the silver version arrives in September. Freebies included two 2GB SD cards, a digital kit bag, a case and a Samsonite waist bag.
