Benks sent me the ArmorPro Prestige, the higher-end model in their ArmorPro line: a TPU case with a rugged Kevlar exterior and MagSafe support. It retails for S$79 with a free screen protector, or use code lesterchan15 direct.
Benks sent over the GlassWarrior Sapphire Screen Protector for my iPhone 17 Pro Max ahead of launch. Retailing for S$36, it was far easier to apply this time thanks to experience with the iPhone 16 Pro Max version.
After a Zym Mobile outage left my spare data SIMs with 100GB each, I bought the D-Link 5G Mobile Wi-Fi 6 Hotspot (DWR-U2100) to put one to use. I picked it up for S$174 during the 9/9 sale.
A rundown of Singtel's price plans for the iPhone Air, iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, launching 19th September 2025. This year drops the Plus model, adds the new iPhone Air, and trims a Pro colour.
A tour of my Ubiquiti UniFi setup, running off a bridged Singtel 10Gbps connection. With no room for a server rack and no option to ceiling-mount, I worked within those constraints using wall-placed access points instead.
The Apex+ EVO G27 is a 27-inch QHD monitor from Ulti's gaming brand, a value alternative to the heavily marketed Prism+. Like its rival, Apex+ doesn't manufacture its own panels, instead working with OEM factories in China.
The Synology BeeStation Plus 8TB is a consumer-friendly NAS aimed at first-timers, a simple alternative to iCloud, Google Photos, and Drive. It ships with a preinstalled drive and preconfigured settings for an out-of-the-box experience.
After my buggy Asus ZenWiFi BQ16 mesh router suddenly dropped all networks one July morning in 2025, I gave up troubleshooting and made the switch to Ubiquiti UniFi for a more reliable home network.
Dasher sent me the Mova P50 Ultra robot vacuum, from the same group as Dreame. It comes in two variants: the P50 Ultra at S$699 and the Pro Ultra at S$999, the latter adding a liftable roller brush and auto-detergent.
After eyeing the pricey Ubiquiti 10G adapter, I spotted the Orico Thunderbolt 10GbE Network Adapter that the Singtel technician used during my 10Gbps setup. At S$147 after vouchers, it is around 50% cheaper than the Ubiquiti option.
Upgrading from my 1+1Gbps bundle to Singtel's 10Gbps Enhanced Plan, I bridged the supplied ZTE F8648P ONR to avoid double NAT. A look at the pricing and why I have stuck with reliable Singtel broadband for nine years.
The Benks ArmorGo Qi2 Power Bank is the Qi2-certified version of the ArmorGo, lifting wireless charging from 5W to the full Qi2 speed. Oddly, Benks never prints the Qi2 logo on the box. I have it in DawnLight Gold.
The Ugreen USB-C to USB-C 100W Retractable Cable retails around S$15, dropping to about S$9 on sale days; I grabbed mine for S$8.69 on 7/7. Its retractable design replaces both my short and long travel cables in one.
The Benks ArmorGo Power Bank comes in 5,000mAh and 10,000mAh capacities and several designs, sold only on the Benks website for now. Prices range from US$39.99 to US$50.99, with free shipping to Singapore and code lesterchan15 for 15% off.
The Benks Grand Headphone Stand is designed for the AirPods Max and comes in white and black. It carries a curious price gap, S$53.72 on Shopee versus S$38.05 on Lazada, or US$39.99 direct from Benks with code lesterchan15.
The Benks ArmorGo Magnetic Wallet Stand is a 2-in-1 MagSafe hardcase wallet that holds up to three cards and doubles as a portrait or landscape phone stand. It retails for S$36.90 on Shopee, in 600D, Aurora, and Prestige variants.
Singapore has over ten EV charging operators, with prices from S$0.40 to S$0.80 per kWh. I favour cheaper AC charging without idling fees, planning trips around it and using PlugShare to find operators wherever I park.
The default Tesla app leaves much of the car's API untapped. I look at three third-party apps, TezLab, Tessie, and TeslaMate, which log every trip and charging session for detailed breakdowns of cost and usage the official app lacks.
After kitting out my Tesla Model 3 Highland (2025) with accessories, I made three more minor modifications. First up is a dedicated dashcam, since the car's six cameras and battery-draining Sentry Mode aren't ideal for capturing number plates.
Just two years in, my DYMO LabelManager 160 died with an unfixable label jam, so I'm done with DYMO. For under S$30 I switched to the Niimbot D110 portable label printer, choosing it over the similarly priced D11.
Charging on the Tesla Model 3 Highland's wireless pad runs slow and hot, so I prefer its USB-C ports, which output up to 65W. The Anker 2-in-1 USB-C to USB-C 140W cable suits charging phones quickly inside the car.
The Benks ArmorPop is a MagSafe phone grip and stand that borrows openly from PopSockets, right down to the name. With a metal stand and plastic grip, it sells direct for US$25.99, though Shopee is cheaper at S$28.86.
