I have been searching for a case to protect the back of my iPad 2 and it must work with Apple’s Smart Cover. I chanced upon this thread, Smart Cover Compatible Cases List, in MacRumors which came in handy.

I did some research myself and the availability of those covers in Singapore and I came to a conclusion that the SwitchEasy CoverBuddy is the most value for money and it will definitely be available in Singapore.

Finding the SwitchEasy CoverBuddy isn’t exactly easy, especially the UltraClear version. It is out of stock almost everywhere in Singapore. Even SwitchEasy International Store is also out of stock.

I started a thread in HardwareZone Forums to help gather information of any stores that might have stock for SwitchEasy CoverBuddy.

When I was about to leave my office, I saw this post by InnocentBlood saying there are 5x SwitchEasy CoverBuddy UltraClear version at VivoCity’s Challenger and I immediately went down after work and luckily there are still 3 pieces left! I got 2 pieces (1 for my friend) for S$39.90 each (Member’s Price: S$35.91).

The iPad 2 (Wi-Fi + 3G) weighs 613g and together with Apple’s Smart Cover and SwitchEasy CoverBuddy, it weighs 822g. A difference of 209g.
