Muppets: Most Wanted opened in the US on the 21st March 2014 and it will be opening in Singapore tomorrow, 24th April 2014. It has a running time of 107 minutes.
Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon, and Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard.
I did not watch the first Muppets which was released in 2011 so I am not sure what I can expect from this movie. Having seen the trailer a coupon of times, I was expecting it to be funny and it “sort of” is but I love the punny jokes in the movie which was not revealed by the trailers.
The storyline progresses very fast since it is a rather short movie. There are no twists to it, rather it is straight to the point.
There are a lot of star-studded cameos in the movie which some of them I failed to recognize, so keep a look out for them. If you want some spoilers, checkout some photos from Muppets: Most Wanted Cameo Appearances.
Overall, I think it is just an ok movie, not something I will particular choose to watch maybe because I am not a fan of Muppets.
