KableCard (KC7)
KableCard (KC7) started out as a KickStarter project back in 2018 where it raised a total of S$456,544 out of their initial goal of S$8,500 from 6,177 backers.
KableCard is designed in Singapore and is a Kickstarter project from Singapore. Hence the currencies on the project are all in S$.
KableCard is a 6-in-1 multi-functional device that is the size of a credit card just slightly thicker (0.8cm).
- Multi Cable
- Wireless Charger
- SIM Kit
- MicroSD Card Reader
- Phone Stand
- Ambient Light
The whole KableCard is mainly made of plastic.
The Multi Cable is essentially a USB-C to USB-C cable, and inside the KableCard, there are three other adapters. USB-C to USB-A, USB-C to Micro-USB, and USB-C to Lightning.
You could do a USB-C to Micro-USB, USB-C to Lightning, USB-C to USB-C, USB-A to USB-C, USB-A to Micro-USB, USB-A to Lightning. Making it a 6-in-1 cable.
SIM Kit contains a SIM ejector Pin with two Nano-SIM slots for you to store your Nano-SIMs.
KableCard can act as a wireless Qi charger, but its wireless charging speed is slow at only 5W.
KableCard is perfect when traveling. However, with the COVID-19 situation going on, it is unlikely we can travel anytime soon.
For me, the KableCard stays in my Peak Design Everyday Sling (5L). It is compact and light enough to be carried everywhere.
If you are like me and did not manage to get it during its Kickstarter run, you still can buy it from Interstellar Goods for S$50 with free shipping within Singapore.
Two colors available for the KableCard, Black and White. I got the white which makes it more visible when you are looking for it inside your bag.
Interstellar Goods has kindly provided me with a discount code to share with my readers.
