igloohome Smart PadLock 2 is the successor to the igloohome Smart PadLock which was launched three years ago. The changes are mostly on the hardware side.

One of the major differences is using a rechargeable lithium battery which is chargeable via the USB-C port. If the Padlock 2 battery is flat, you can charge it using a power bank instead of a 9V alkaline battery.

The much-awaited Aqara Smart Video Doorbell G4 is finally available in Singapore last week. It retails in Singapore for S$209.90, and you can get it from Souky Shop on Lazada or Souky Shop on Shopee.

Introduction
Aqara G4 features 162° angle 1080p recording with infrared night vision. It can be powered via six AA batteries (included in the packaging) or an AC/DC adapter. For AC, it needs to be 12V – 24V 0.2A 50/60Hz, or for DC, it needs 8V – 24V 0.5A.

Aqara Smart Wall Switch H1 EU (With Neutral) is the third smart wall switch that I am evaluating. The first is MCO Touch Panel while the second is Sonoff T2UK Wi-Fi Smart Wall Switch.

There is nothing wrong with my Sonoff smart wall switch that makes me want to switch to Aqara smart wall switch. I am getting just one Aqara smart wall switch to let Li Xiang feel the difference between touch and tactile-based wall switches so that we have more choices for our new house.

Knocki is an interesting device that can turn any surface into a remote control. As the name of the product suggests, you can knock or tap on any surface that the Knocki is on, and it will translate into remote actions (which Knocki calls tasks).

Knocki started as a Kickstarter in May 2016, and it got successfully funded on July 2016. It raised a total of US$1,144,399 out of its initial goal of US$35,000 from 8,897 backers.

I always wanted the Google Nest Hub Max but it is expensive, retailing at US$229 (S$309) and excluding shipping charges to Singapore.

I chanced upon the Google Nest Hub Max on Project KR on Lazada having a flash sale, and after collecting all the Lazada vouchers for their 2/2 sales, I paid S$255.60, which I think is a reasonable price.

I backed the Sonoff NSPanel Smart Scene Wall Switch when it was a Kickstarter project back in October 2021.

My pledge level is the “Flash Sale – NSPanel,” where I paid HK$389 (S$68) for the Sonoff NSPanel, and shipping to Singapore cost me HK$94 (S$17). So in total, I paid HK$483 (S$85).

My MCO light switch in my Kitchen and Games Room decided to give up connecting to Z-Wave, so I replaced it with Sonoff T2UK Wi-Fi Smart Wall Switches.

I still find Wi-Fi is more reliable for me than Z-Wave thanks to my eero Wi-Fi System.

After bricking my Nest Hello, I decided to get the Eufy Video Doorbell 2K (Wired) from Eufy US Website. I chose Eufy after reading Domotics review on Eufy Doorbell 2K (Wired). The author, Mike, also encountered the same thing with his Nest Hello Doorbell (Wired). He eventually gave up and bought a Eufy Video Doorbell 2K (Wired). So I thought, it works for him, it should work for me.

I paid US$115.48 (S$156) for the Eufy Video Doorbell 2K (Wired). That is after a US$40 discount from their retail price of US$155.48. Shipping from my freight forwarder, HopShopGo, to Singapore is an additional US$19.96 (S$27) via DHL.

Bought the Google Nest Hub (2nd Generation) from a Lazada store named Project KR for S$99.99 during their flash sale on 9th September 2021. Shipping is free since I have collected the free shipping voucher. If not, it will be S$1.49.

For S$99.99, it is an excellent deal since, in the US, it is already selling for US$99.99, and you have not factored in shipping to Singapore yet.
