Bought the Apple Lightning to Micro USB Adapter from Apple Online Store (Singapore) for S$28. Initially it was only available in Europe as in Europe if you are selling mobile phones, it has to come with Micro USB connectivity. But last Saturday, in a surprise move by Apple, they decided to make it available for all.
Previously, the Apple 30-pin Connector to Micro USB Adapter is only available in Europe and still is.
I love the size of this adapter, in fact I think it is more worth it to get this than the Apple Lightning to 30-pin Adapter as the later cost S$14 more and furthermore Micro USB cables are more universally compatible with devices.

I’m grateful that Apple decided to sell this worldwide. Might have to pay a heavy markup from UK resellers!
Hey Lester, see whether you have the same issue as me. I’m using the adaptor the micro USB cable which came with my Kindle. When the iPhone is partially charged, there doesn’t seem to be a problem. However, when the iPhone looks to be full charge, this error message comes out.
What is the error message? Did you try with other USB cables/adapter variations? I will give it a try on Monday.
It says ‘Charging not supported with this accessory’. I wonder whether its because the kindle cable is very long
I got the same message for my car charger when I plugged it into the phone and start the car engine. IF I start the car engine first then plug the phone it, it works fine.
I am guessing it is harmless since it works fine for me as well
I also ordered from apple store using the epp discount. got it at around $25 plus
Apple should have bundled this since day 1… now i only have 1 micro-usb cable with this adaptor to charge my android and apple iphone 5, ipad mini…
Hi Lester
Great post and you are quite the photographer. I agree the
size is quite impressive. Out of interest have you experience the ipad charging
is not supported with this accessory and similar? I write for iPad Repair
occasionally and this seems to be such a common error message I can only assume
it is even more frequent when using an adaptor like this.
Best wishes
Brian
