Google Announces Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus Player & Android 5.0 Lollipop
Last Wednesday, Google announces Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus Player & Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Nexus 6
Nexus 6 will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It comes with a 5.96″ 2560×1440 QHD AMOLED display (493 ppi) powered by Snapdragon 805 quad-core 2.7GHz processor.
Pre-order starts in the US on 29th October 2014 and will be in stores in November 2014. The Nexus 6 will be available in 28 countries over the coming weeks.
The Nexus 6 (32GB) will retail for US$649 (S$828) and the Nexus 6 (64GB) will retail for US$699 (S$892).
Note that similar to Nexus 5, the Nexus 6 will come with two variants, one for America and one for international (for the rest of the world). In order to use the 4G service in Singapore, you need to get the international variant.

Nexus 9
Nexus 9 is Google’s answer to Apple’s iPad Air. Built by HTC, it is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop and has a 8.9″ QXGA IPS LCD (2048×1536) powered by 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor.
Pre-order in the US for 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi models starts from 17th October 2014. Nexus 9 LTE 32GB will be available later this year. There is no Nexus 9 16GB LTE if you are wondering. The Nexus 9 will be available in 29 countries over the coming weeks.

Nexus Player
Nexus player is also Google’s answer to Apple TV. Built by Asus, it is running on Android TV and powered by Intel Atom 1.8GHz Quad Core.
The Nexus Player will retail for US$99 (S$127) and it comes with a remote. The Nexus Player also supports an additional controller for gaming and that cost US$39.99 (S$51) which is sold separately.

Android 5.0 Lollipop
Android L is now officially known as Android 5.0 Lollipop and it will be in the new Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. For Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and other Google Play Edition devices, Android 5.0 Lollipop will be coming as an OTA update in the next few weeks.
