Sonos Arc
As part of a minor Living Room refresh, I'm upgrading my Sonos Beam to a Sonos Arc, switching to white to better match the room. The Arc retails for S$1,599, cheaper during the 6/6 sales.

The Sanus Wireless Speaker Stands suit the Sonos One, One SL, Play:1, and Play:3. I bought the white pair from the official Sonos store for S$160, a cheaper alternative to Sonos's own S$399 stands.
Having upgraded to a Sonos 5.1 system, Beam, Sub (Gen 3), and two PLAY:1, I wanted to confirm it was working correctly. With resources scattered, I pieced together a guide using Netflix Test Patterns.
I bought the Sonos One SL on Amazon Prime Day for S$259, down from its S$299 retail. As the mic-less true successor to the PLAY:1, its packaging feels a touch cheap.
After getting my Sonos Beam, the natural next step was the Sonos Sub, now in its third generation since a May 2020 refresh. I bought it during the 6/6 sale, stacking vouchers down to about S$1,039.
I bought the Sonos Beam during Shopee's 5/5 sale for just S$509, well below its S$699 retail. It replaces my Samsung 2.1 soundbar, which came free with a Samsung TV I've found disappointing.
As of 6th November 2019, Google Assistant is officially available to all Sonos users in Singapore, including Sonos One and Beam. Previously, accessing Alexa or Google Assistant meant switching your Sonos profile's country to the US.
The Sonos Amp is now available in Singapore for S$1,099, via TC Acoustic or Musica Boutique. An upgrade to the Connect:Amp, it boosts power from 55 to 125 watts per channel and adds HDMI ARC and optical inputs.
It used to be cheaper to import a Sonos PLAY:1 or One from Amazon than buy it locally. That's changed: Singapore prices now match or beat Amazon, with a local warranty, via distributor TC Acoustic.
The Sonos BOOST retails for S$199 in Singapore but US$99 on Amazon, which doesn't ship directly. With only about S$60 saved before freight forwarding, importing isn't worth it. BOOST creates a dedicated wireless network for Sonos, reducing interference.
During a Black Friday sale, the Sonos PLAY:1 dropped from US$199 to US$149. Since it doesn't ship to Singapore directly, I bought mine from Amazon and forwarded it via HopShopGo, which billed me for 3kg despite the 2.4kg weight.
The new Sonos PLAY:5 is now available in Singapore for S$999, sold at IT stores like Challenger and online via TC Acoustic. It delivers studio-quality sound through six synchronised custom drivers, with three mid-woofers producing smooth mids and deep bass.
