Untraceable
I caught Untraceable at GV VivoCity last week, taking two hours to relax. Reviews were mixed, but personally I loved it, especially the technology references like TTL values and botnets. I hope there's more like it.
Streaming and what I watch, from getting shows in Singapore to the occasional film.

Theodor Seuss Geisel was an American writer and cartoonist best known for his classic children's books under the pen name Dr. Seuss, including The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
I caught L: Change The World at Cineleisure last Friday, a spin-off featuring L from the Death Note films. After writing his own name in the Death Note, L has 23 days left, and the movie follows those final days.
I'm so swamped with school, with assignments and tutorials coming non-stop. With Chinese New Year next week, I've one CS3216 assignment and four tutorials, two CS2301, one MA1312 and one CS2106, all due Tuesday. So stressful!
James Wong will write and direct the upcoming Dragon Ball movie, set to begin production this November up in Canada. Wong previously directed Final Destination 1 and 3 and Jet Li's The One, with writing credits on those films too.
It's been a month since I caught a movie, but I finally found time last Friday for a midnight showing of Ratatouille at GV VivoCity. It was decent, if a bit draggy, but Pixar's animation impresses as always.
The Bourne Identity, Supremacy and Ultimatum is one of the best trilogies I've ever seen, edging out Lord of the Rings for me. The storyline is fantastic, the action excellent, and crucially none of the three rely on CGI.
881 is without doubt one of the best local productions ever made. Royston Tan has done it again after 15 and 4:30, and I think he's already surpassed Jack Neo. His films portray a unique side of Singapore.
I caught Die Hard 4.0 on Saturday, a 150-minute film. It was slightly above average, as expected an action-packed affair with action almost throughout. Maggie Q only lasts halfway through, perhaps because she's Asian and this is a Hollywood film.
I'm not really a Transformers cartoon fan; I didn't watch much of it. But I love the movie, the best I've seen since Lord of the Rings. The CGI was fantastic, the storyline good, and the action almost constant.
OMGWTFBBQ, the Resident Evil: Extinction trailer is out! I've been looking forward to this after a disappointing Resident Evil: Apocalypse, so hopefully this one delivers. This episode should be the last of the Resident Evil movie sequels.
Ahead of Return of the King's 18 December release, Warner Bros Singapore is screening a limited run of 35mm Special Extended Editions of The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers, a treat for fans.
A rundown of upcoming movie sequels to watch for, ordered by release date, quite a long list. 2003 brings Shanghai Knights, The Jungle Book II, Final Destination 2, Jeepers Creepers II, X-Men 2 and Matrix Reloaded.
