Crucial P1 500GB NVMe M.2 SSD
The Crucial P1 NVMe M.2 SSD is extremely popular because it is one of the most valued for money NVMe M.2 SSD.
The 1TB variant is capable of 2,000 MB/s Read and 1,700 MB/s Write while the 500GB variant is capable of 1,900 MB/s Read and 950 MB/s Write.
For the 1TB variant, I tried twice to get it on Lazada. Once on Dynacore and once from Convergent Systems. Convergent Systems is the official distributor for Crucial products in Singapore.
I did not succeed in both attempts. After paying, the shop will message me telling me that they have run out of stock, and they initiated a refund for me. It looks like the stock level count on Lazada is useless.
On Amazon.sg, it is sold out as well, and you have to wait till July 2020. The price is also higher than the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) in Singapore.
So I decided to get the 500GB instead. Not surprising that you can’t find it on Lazada anymore since the 500GB variant is sold out as well.
By chance, I saw the 500GB variant on Amazon.sg and the shipping date is in June 2020. I placed the order on 12th May 2020, and I received it on 25th May 2020. The 500GB variant is now sold out as of 27th May 2020.
I got it for S$85.50 with free shipping to Singapore as I am an Amazon Singapore Prime Member. It is slightly cheaper than the RRP in Singapore, which is about S$90.
I bought two 500GB, and I am going to use it on my new Synology NAS as SSD Cache.
Since it will be used as an SSD cache, I don’t need such a good NVMe M.2 SSD.
Hence, I chose the Crucial P1, which is one of the cheapest NVMe M.2 SSD in the market and is compatible with Synology NAS (tested and verified by Synology themselves).
