It has been almost a month since I blogged about anything and fast-forwarded to yesterday. It is my 38th birthday!

Cure
My first celebration is with Li Xiang at Cure Restaurant. Cure is a One Michelin Star restaurant that serves Nua Irish cuisine by Andrew Walsh. Nua means new in Irish.

Cure is Andrew Walsh’s first venture as Chef-Owner and is a restaurant that is rooted in combining top-notch plates, solid drinks, and personable service that is delivered in a casual yet refined environment.

The food is excellent, every single dish. It is a 15-course meal and costs S$258 per pax. We top-up an additional S$10 for a Tipperary Brie Cheese that both of us shared, making it a 16-course meal.

Hiryu
Tomorrow, I will be having my second celebration together with my family. My brother and I will celebrate our birthday together as his birthday is just four days after mine.

We will be celebrating it at Hiryu, which serves Japanese Omakase. There are two types of Omakase available, Ryu and Hiryu.

Ryu is S$188 per pax and consists of Seasonal Sashimi (3 Kinds), Hot Appetizer, Sushi (6 PCS), Mini Kaisen Chirashi, Soup & Dessert.

Hiryu is S$258 per pax and consists of Seasonal Premium Sashimi (5 Kinds), Hot Appetizer, Premium Sushi (6 PCS), Signature Don (Miyazaki A5/Iberico Secreto/Abalone), Soup & Dessert.

I will likely go with the Hiryu and and update this post again with the pictures.

All of us went with the Hiryu Omakase and we ordered the Tai Carpaccio as an ala carte.

Overall, all the dishes at Hiryu are good. If I have to nitpick, the soup and dessert need more work as they taste normal.

CalDigit TS4
Received yet another generous gift from my brother which is the CalDigit TS4 from B&H Photo Video. Thank you bro!

I have been eyeing it since it was announced last month. My company plans to upgrade all our laptops to the new M1 Max MacBook Pro by Q3 2022, so I can no longer make use of my Razer Core X Chroma eGPU since the chip is no longer Intel-based.

Eventually, I am also deciding to get a personal laptop. It will be the new M2 MacBook Air this year or the M2 Max MacBook Pro next year.

I will blog about the CalDigit TS4 in a separate post.

Thank You
Thanks for all the lovely birthday greetings on WhatsApp, Telegram, Line, Slack, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Facebook Messenger.
